It would be interesting from the standpoint of showing another spaceship being shot down like the Aurora. Having an alien (perhaps more primitive?) spaceship would definitely give something interesting to explore. Whether it would work would depend on how the developers imagine the game's story to play out and whether it would fit.
I don't think the Aurora was shot down tbh, if anything it's most likely sabatoge, mayhaps there is a group of humans that don't want our species to colonize other worlds, but rather, let them develop naturally
If they decide on having more downed vessals id love to see some ancient wrecks, like covered in barnacles acting as artificial reefs and the like, i would think its a location for rare materials, but not technology.

Eh....I personally wouldn't, that would, in my opinion, detract from the 'Your stranded, alone, on an unknown world' kinda feel, cause if others were here before....sorry just my take on it, yanno?
True, that was something that hadnt popped to mind when i thought of it. but i'd still like to see some artificial reefs, maybe over time the aurora can build up some coral life and such? that'd be cool, having a game adapt to a long term session
