It was probably a target, rather than a limit. Maybe they never expected over 20,000 for the beta? I think I heard they had made 40,000 in one Hugh's videos a month or so back.
Good for them, everyone needs money and we get to see a better polished game.

I was not talking about total biscuits video, but I think Hugh mentioned in a vid a month or so back that they had sold 40,000 units so far... so should be doing quite well!
