The tournament was intended to be played on build 188/9. UWE has had to change their build schedule slightly. While I would prefer to simply push the tournament back two or so weeks, there is a special, super secret NS2HD event happening on December 4 which means I can't.
Build 187 is not representative of where NS2 is right now, or the effort UWE has put in to it recently. I can't in good conscience put up 40 or so Build 187 tournament games that could become a reference point for people who have never seen NS2.

Good point SkymanderX will do.
(Start time arbitrarily decided to be the 28/10/2011 at 8pm, just because I needed to set one, feel free to change it to a time at which you'll be sure to have finished your dinner if needed Hugh ^^)
Now we can really feel the pressure/excitement increase.
Now I am stuck relying on my clan mates to not screw up the first round...! *looks at Johs and dugi suspiciously*
On a more serious note it is exciting to see we are getting closer to the tournament, I really cannot wait to play in and watch the matches!
Means that really nothing? Also for Overrmind (to pause the game if a player crashes) and the menumod?
also the Servers should run the anti "r_mode unlit" script IMO.
And btw 3min break between rounds? It should be depending on the game lenght. A 15min game is no problem but a 45min round and only 3min break is way tooo short (drinking, toilet/cigarette). Especially when comentating alot ^^.
Should be something like 0-30min round time 5min break. 31-60min roundtime 10min (or when all are rdy).
After a total of 90min playtime the next, if there is another match, should be 15min.
Rosters are definitely going to have to be published sooner than later. CAL used a system of locking rosters days before Matches to make sure last minute moves did not happen. I hope Hugh implements the same process for the tournament to eliminate last minute recruiting/team switching/substitution of none members.
I would like to see the rosters published to see who is playing for who. The 6v6 cup thread is the only place I can track who's playing for what team (and it's outdated).
I know I promised first round times today, but unfortunately Frelge has dropped out. The first clan (along with HBZ!) I ever cast and one of my favorites to watch, you will be missed guys! I will now have to rejig the draw. Still hoping to punch out times today.
what is about the "r_mode" exploit?
I know on the Ziegenfarm is an anti-r_mode-exploit-script installed...
Maybe we should make it mandatory for tournament servers.
(To be honest, I didn't read the old thread.. maybe somebody mentioned it before.)
I understand locking a roster for the draw itself so we can get the tournament moving along, but I don't think there should be a strict roster lock for the upcoming matches, in many cases ringers may have to be used at one point or another if teammates can't make it on.
This tournament is for fun and showcasing, I think penalizing people with roster locks will only cause more hiccups(at least in the case of my team this will more than likely be true).
Ringers being used for more then one team is another story and if that's why people are concerned about locking rosters that's more then fair, should be a rule preventing a ringer to float around, but otherwise I feel a full lock would be slightly detrimental.
Players from other teams(or teams that have already lost) should not be able to ring as well, I see where this gets a little more complex ^^.
Maybe if the two teams and ns2hd talk and agree regarding ringers prior to a match, should the situation arise.

dude even if thats a joke its not cool...
You can see steam IDs with the overmind mod, so yes, you can tell.
Cool. Although according to the rules the use of any server mods is forbidden. :S
In the meantime, here is the <!--sizeo:4--><span style="font-size:14pt;line-height:100%"><!--/sizeo--><b><a href="https://www.google.com/calendar/embed?src=ns2hd%40live.com.au" target="_blank"> Draft Tournament Timetable</a></b><!--sizec--></span><!--/sizec--> for round 1!

Please review your match times and confirm you can play at that time. I understand in some cases the times aren't perfect, but we all have to compromise to make sure everyone gets to play at at least a reasonable hour!
If your team absolutely cannot play at a given time, let me know and I will try to rejig. Reasons like '3/6 members are at work at that time' are preferable over 'I'd rather be at the pub on Friday night.' There's nothing wrong with the latter, but the pub will always be there. This tournament is a one off!

Just import the calender into your google account with the button in the right bottom corner :) once the calendar is imported the times are shown in your timezone.
In my opinion the times are very good :)
To all you valiant team leaders out there, please let me know if you need help with recruitment. I know that given the extreme 186 build time, some players are starting to flake. If you do drop below 6, don't despair, we can work together to draw in keen players :).
We may not have more than 2 of our original members.
Some of our players may not have bought the game at the time of posting.
But we'll be there!
By the way, if any of the original Mr. crew read this, your slots are still here and reserved for you, just contact me and you're in.
