I'm fine with devour returning, but something out of the Onos arsenal needs to go to prevent them from countering Heavys so hard.
Stomp -> Devour -> Charge counters Heavys so badly, it was never worth going HA over JP. Compliment that with in umbra and there was no way you would rescue your buddy.
You either had to have nearly your entire team Heavy rush to lay down enough suppressing fire to prevent the Onos combo from happening in which the game was over at that point or you'd lose the resources one by one to devour.
