no seriously what the ######. i mean yea but what about gorgy?
I really like the look of the marine because it is unique. Adding a face mask to the marine would just make him generic and another faceless goon. It's better this way because the marine is identifiable in many ways.
quick question, will the lights on the armor give off ambient glow on the surroundings? not really neccessary but might look cool seeing the blue light playing on the marines face and arms when you enter a really dark area.
Giving medpacks to illegal kharraa is a controversial subject.

Ref: First Peek At the New Frontiersman. We at ABLE.ns are pleased to see that the mush needed armor upgrades are finaly ariving to us at the frontlines. But over the past years we have seen the Kharaa evolve at a alarming rate. And we are truly pleased whit the new siege cannon you send us for field testing, and the lucky few who got there hands on the new tasergun have seen there survivability risen by no more then amazing 16%! We desperate need news to highten the Moral amongst the troups at our forward bases.

PS. The deepfield research operations provided by GISP - ABLE.ns, has as you know, provided the TSA Kharaa Reasearch & Intel Div. whit valuable infomation* i think we deserve some updates.

I have to say this again because saying that those marines look absolutely amazing once just doesn't do them justice.
Also I like the LMG, looks like a gun I'd want to pick up and shoot aliens with! Still looks like a projectile weapon but somehow has the aura that it's gonna ###### hurt!
Reading the forum for quite a while now, been on NS since...long time ago (maybe not the beta, but almost). Decided to join the conversation on this beautiful reveal.
My comments:
1: Amazing, as usual. I love all the new stuff you come up with, and I'm 100% convinced the game is going to be amazing. Congrats guys, you are really great. Not that anyone here doubts about it.
2: Ass-plate and helmets don't bother me that much, I mean, we need to see in game.
3: The only thing that bothers me, and it seems I'm the first one, is the small lights on the armor. NS is a game where lots of sneaking/ninja-ing/hiding is going on, and giving such a big clue about the position of the marine is just suicidal to me. TSA sure would have thought about that. The dynamic lightings are really amazing from what I saw and I assume there's going to be dark (real dark!) areas in some of the maps, in which the lights would just ruin the marine's possible advantage.
The question behind it : why would TSA decide to add such a disadvantageous feature? Can't find a reason, and the team-based colour is not a reason good enough to me.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but the colour of the armor is supposed to be the one that is the most concealable in the environment, right ? Thus the dark/green armor, close to the colour of the infestation. The lights just disable that advantage.
Just my opinion :)
Again, all congrats to the team. I love it all, and trust you on an amazing game :)

I guess a belly slide makes sense for the marine - how else are they meant to catch a belly sliding gorge!

not so. not in the quality of a rendering. no difference. Only difference would be realtime performance.
