so in a act of true awesomeness, I tried to reinstall a vshare on the gs, decided against it, killed the process through the process window but forgot to close the tab installing it.. So now its installed but not even on my slaves list. Oh well.. time to reupload the virus and scan the broken one out :/

after I'm done reuploading I think I'll leave the GS alone for a while, before I break something else.

Also, I made my 3.5 million by camping one of the high level banks, 71.136.63.190
I was only there for IPs. While I was camping, the bank got DDOSed so I couldn't log in. I waited around though because I assumed it had been ddosed for a reason, and when I came back this happened.

It doesn't help much at its base speed. I'm thinking the 500mbit is good enough for making money at first. I found 2 fairly high speed players last night and robbed another of 60k. I'm sitting at 127k right now but until I've got 600 there's not a lot of point.

Niice... I'm just trying to stay away from ppl making 40k so I can upgrade my diskspace again. Started 20 slaves 2-3 days ago, down to 14 slaves. Just 5k more to go...

I thought I was lucky with 3.5?

Although, since there's a ton of money entering the slave hack economy because of the high level players, and not much leaving because there's nothing for them to buy unless they get DDOSed, heists like that will only get more common.

WoW did a good job curbing inflation by having repair costs, with higher level gear and play costing more. I don't see an option like that for SH though.

I haven't actually played SH in a week or so. It doesn't have much of an end game.

ugh. I just found out I've been doing things the stupid way for a while. I've been manually copy/pasting passwords for machines I've cracked because the default password in the box never worked.

After looking at the source code for a page, it looked like it was supposed to work. So on a hunch I had firefox forget my slavehack login and now it works automagically.

Cover your tracks, delete your IP in log entries all the time. Delete your own log. Have backup copies on your external. It's really not that hard, once your think about it. Just be quick.

I finally got off my ass and wrote a working version of the log parser I was talking about. It only scans for useful ip's right now, filtering out npc's and slaves you already have.

Using it I've cracked ~150 user vpc's in the last 2 days.

But does it filter out NPC IPs?

I was tempted to make a program I was going to call "Slavedog" that would watch my log and alert me (and capture the IP) of any intruders... In order to prevent bot detection the refresh time would need to be somewhat randomized.
