Haven't started an ingame email account yet.. Kinda hesitant to.. can people access the email servers and view your email? How secure is this stuff, and really.. 350e per month? D:<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
350 per month is nothing especially considering you probably won't play for a month.

When you send/recieve e-mail anyone in the e-mail server can see the first like... 6 digits of your IP, but the IP is masked so they can't see the rest (so not very useful to them)

    hahahahahahahaha

I just stole 3,405,290.58 euros while camping a bank log.

I bought all the equipment. Unfortunately I had forgotten about the GS before I bought the completely pointless 1080GB hard drive, so I was only able to upgrade it to 350 mbit. It can upload at 9956 kb/s now.

Now if I can only log in.

I bought the 5 GB external hard drive and put the level 5 wwl on it, so I can't really be shut down without ddos(which I am a little worried about since I might have just annoyed someone very powerful)

That list only goes to 4.5 software. And misses quite a few versions on some programs. The list I have is done and is really only intended for people that can't support the highest levels (or collectors).

The list is up as "NPC Software.txt". I'm slowly uploading the best programs that are missing, starting with the 4.7 skr.

    What did they do?

He has 5.0 and hasn't bothered clearing his logs. I see a lot of deletes on other computers. One of them you?
I'll wait a bit since he seem active currently.

oh, and he has 1000 mbit

wow... I remember this way back when it was starting... let me check my old account... yup... still there.

    Heh, I never actually logged in, I'm a new player with hour protection yet the computer has been connected for 520 days. O.o;

Ah well, I'm getting into it now, kinda interesting.

I'm up to 1 WW and .9 FW now... and I'm framing some guy who deleted my AV and installed a virus on me... won't touch it, but I hope others would be happy to find logs that aren't deleted properly in public places. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin-fix.gif" />

there isn't anything else that can be done at this point unless you have a ddos array.
Wait, one thing. I found this in his logs.

I'm not risking my IP on that but there might be some money in that account.

Looking through the other computers he hacked, he edits out his IP and replaces it with kts. I guess that's his name or clan.
  • [WHO]Them[WHO]Them You can call me Dave Join Date: 2002-12-11 Member: 10593Members, Constellation
He picked up my ip when I went slave hunting and deleted my wwl, fwl, and ddos software. Then I assume he just dropped my ip around.
  • TheslanTheslan TWG Signature Maker Join Date: 2004-04-27 Member: 28245Members
Hrm... I've seen a few kts logs around as well.

I've dropped his IP address around well known public ips to see if that'll get a few more ppl on him.

As for me, I've inherited 2 vspam, but I don't want to disturb them. =(

Any tips on the money making aspect?

I've got several vspam .3 running on others, but I haven't tried the other programs (ftp/ware- stuff) so I don't know whether they're worth upgrading to make better money.

Considering I'm still using stock hardware, I think I'll stay on v.3 until I can upgrade my connection speed.

Try to stick to player computers, the npcs wipe their hard drives every so often and are too bogged down by other players viruses.
Try to get unique viruses on the computers. Viruses are subject to diminishing returns, with 2 you're only getting about 45% of the total, with 3 around 20% and so on.
Stick to .3 vspam for now, the benefits of having better are minuscule unless the computer is using a 4400mhz processor

when you get a little higher, I'd suggest using ANAs on players, with anything above 100mbit vshare viruses generally become more profitable than vspam.

Heh, thx. I do have several unique player PCs I monitor daily (up to 4 now). These guys are fun though... I try to frame installation of the viruses on them, like someone poorly conceal their logs. In effect, I hope they're attacking each other because of it.

Yeah... I plan to get 10 GB harddrive, better connection, and then keep upgrading. I'm at 1.1 WWL and FW now.

    Ahhh, satisfaction.

Today I stole 50,000 from some bank account and upgraded to 100mbit. I used the new connection to clean up all my slaves (AV'ing all the competition <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tounge.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":p" border="0" alt="tounge.gif" />). I happened to stop in on my friend of the day "kts" (the deleter) right after he logged into his VPC and formatted. Camped his logs a few minutes and found his GS. pwned it too. The universe is justified.

If anyone wants to poke at the pwned GS.

heh, I assumed it was, but just wanted to know if KTS had reset his IP.

It is kinda nice that we can't totally screw him over by switching the GS IP/PW on him <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tounge.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":p" border="0" alt="tounge.gif" />

I agree. At first I was wanting to do something evil, like changing IP and password and take it over, but figured I couldn't. The humiliation and lost programs is prob. enough. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile-fix.gif" />

    Take a peek at the servers welcome.txt <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile-fix.gif" /> And yes, I am very mature.

looking at the group info, kts is the only person on the list.
it might be a private group server.
