Antifreeze, I suggest you make 1 or more alts to be your market checkers in some of the hubs, so it's easier to see what to buy/sell. Aside from price, you should look at how many units gets sold pr day (market history tab on the market browser). You should also probably adjust your price every now and then to make sure you actually sell stuff. Because of this, it might be wise to let your alts do the selling, so you don't have to move your main to your selling location(s) of choice every time you want to adjust the price.

I did a test run today and didn't have too many problems however after seeing <a href="http://dl1.eve-files.com/media/corp/CRII/Latest.jpg" target="_blank">this</a> it's probably not a good idea to push my luck.

Cheers for the selling advice pip I'll have a go at it

Hmm... my corp may be falling apart. Anybody in the genesis area that wants to take a pirate with no money into their corp? I can't even afford a caracal because I've been training skills haha.

A 0.0 sec corp is preferred, so I can kill anybody I want [not allied to us] without ramifications.

I've found a new corp called Siege Corp in syndicate, they sound pretty good and active, and accommodating enough that I might actually be able to afford a drake sometime this year. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile-fix.gif" /> But I haven't joined them yet, still deciding what to do... I have a week's leeway while I train up skills I don't want to leave behind before I podjump.

    Whereabouts are you/what corp?

Corp: Aristotle Enterprises, 23 members with balls of tritanium.

Alliance: Ethereal Dawn, old school players with old school leadership, 180 of the finest guns and mining lasers this side of Curse. (we're in the process of moving to a new region however... one which is a secret! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wow.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":0" border="0" alt="wow.gif" /> )

We pay 50% of average market value for minerals/ore sold to the corp at our offices, but it sounds like you don't care about that. We also love to go stir up the locals in lowsec around empire or get together with the alliance and make naughty things happen at 0.0 gates. we've also got a system setup where members pay only 50% of ship market value if we make it for them, Tier 2 battleships (like the raven) cost 60m on average for members. We've had a few takers of this particular deal...

All I ask is you're active in the game and learn the ropes quickly.
  • eedioteediot Join Date: 2003-02-24 Member: 13903Members
Yeah, I'm more combat oriented. I'm not in this game to make spacebux, I just get what's needed to keep my ship flying, then I go out and look for a fight. The 60m raven deal sounds amazing [even though I have approx 4m to my name at the moment, and no ships] but you guys sound a little carebear for my tastes. Maybe we can muck around in the future if we're nearby, I think the corp I'm looking at joining is focused on merc more than piracy.

The thread you linked to has been locked and removed so I can't read it, but I can only assume you're talking about ASCN crumbling or the ISS Cassini station being absorbed by D2... not that I'm particularly surprised. Northern ISS are about as capable as a package of pre-moistened noodles. It was only a matter of time.

Speaking of which, I'm ###### off at D2 now because that station was the source of my corp's jumpclones... now we'll have to wait until we build our own outpost to get more jumpclones. So mad at D2 'cause they' disrespectin'!

I took a look earlier, it was just goonswarm being dumb and annoying, as usual.

    What's this about ASCN/ISS?
  • NeonSpyderNeonSpyder &quot;Das est NTLDR?&quot; Join Date: 2003-07-03 Member: 17913Members
ASCN got ###### raped by BoB and pretty much disintegrated. <a href="http://myeve.eve-online.com/ingameboard.asp?a=topic&threadID=453155" target="_blank">EVE-O Thread Link</a>

ISS Cassini in EC-P8R, (right above the Lonetrek region) was captured by Dusk 2 Dawn a few days (a week) ago, they own the station now and ISS no longer have any northern outposts (iirc).

They still maintain a strong position in the south relative to their previous strength before this incident.

Quote of a press release about the incident afaik:

    "2007.01.07 20:54
As of this weekend, ISS Cassini Outpost corporations only revenue generating asset - ISS Cassini Outpost in EC-P8R was seized by Dusk and Dawn Alliance

An overwhelming fleet Capital ships, Support Ships and D2's Titan participated in destroying the towers in Cassini - despite having over 48hrs stronium - due to identical timing of an assault by IAC/AAA/GoonFleet assault on the ISS Marginis station.

The Dusk and Dawn corporations and member pilots involved in the assault include the original owners of the outpost. The original owners previously received 20bn isk for the sales of the stations to the EvE Public through the original ISS Managed Cassini IPO.

The dividend accrued to date will be issued on 1st February. ISS have no immediate plans or capability to re-capture this station. An announcement will be made on the future of the ISSCA shares at that time."

NeonSpyder, if you don't mind moving yourselves to the south, you might be able to get jumpclones from CVA, or maybe even UK or IAC. I know CVA has sold jump clone access in the past, and UK and IAC follow NRDS in peace times, so they might also sell jump clone access to random neutrals.

It was a declaration of war from Goonswarm against Sanguine Legion. It was actually spawned by some vandalism: EDIT: can't find the picture

However, the thread itself turned into a decent parody of many of BoB's major announcements, generally regarding the "destruction" of Goonswarm in July or so. In the end, Sanguine Legion actually responded with a parody of some of BoB's anti-ASCN announcements.

After 6-7 pages, it turned into giant quote pyramids, quite a lot of Threadnaughts, and quite a lot of pictures Blackmage probably has.

In the end, it was a victory for Goonswarm.

CVA and IAC don't like us, and by the way we DO operate in the south (Curse is south... technically...)

CVA, ISS and IAC are non-options because they dislike our policies. Simple as that.

    I started playing two days ago, and so far I have to say: Awesome <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wow.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":0" border="0" alt="wow.gif" />

Only problems I've faced are the interface and lag. But I've learned to use the interface pretty smoothly, so the only problem is lag. I get the most lag in heavy crowded places (surprise), where all the commands are delayed like half a minute.

I've teamed up with NEO|Phyte and his trusty missile boat, with my slow (but also trusty <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/tounge.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":p" border="0" alt="tounge.gif" /> ) railgun/missile ship called the New Pew Pew!. We've been hunting pirates, and completed a few quests with good cooperation (NEO takes all the damage, I just try to keep up and blast enemies <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin-fix.gif" /> ).

My ingame nick is "Captain Retales", and I'm a Caldari dude. If you see me online, you're welcome to join me in my pie-rat hunting. Or maybe I can lend you a hand <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink-fix.gif" />

Tough call. I think you would be safe to say that ISS and IAC are close enough friends, at least they were when I was in ISS. At the time you could say IAC to anybody in ISS and they'd be well aware of who you're talking about, as IAC has a strong southern presence. As far as I'm concerned IAC are one of the top 15 alliances in EVE based on size and power, but that may just be my opinion based on my proximity to them.

I never really spoke to many/any IAC guys though. Fact is I just don't know much about IAC other then hearsay.

After the alliance tourney, IAC set ISS to -10 (= Kill on sight). Afaik, IAC just wanted to pew pew some ISS ships (since they're generally sucky), but ISS hired mercs and started killing IAC pos's. The mercs left after ISS got hold of one IAC system or something like that, and then ISS got ###### by 3-4 alliances I think.

As for their power, top 15 sounds about right.

Like I said, I was in IAC (or, more accurately, Mercurialis Inc.) and they WERE good. But rumor has it Tyrrax (who was awesome otherwise) went crazy after losing him Impoc and waged war on ISS, etc. I left shortly after that. Good group of guys, them and ISS teamed up were giving curse a run for their money from what I heard, and we were at war with a few other large pirate corps like Lotka Voltera and weren't taking heavy losses. On top of that they're heavy production.
