In case anyone cares, EVE royally boned me the other day.

Somehow during one of the hotpatch-fixum-ups my EVE-O account VANISHED! completely gone.

So, being my inquisitive self, I looked into it and found no solution, thus if I do not hear back from my petition asking kindly "wth is ma gaem broek?" (At least that's how I believe it's spelt in icelandic), I'm going to have to call up CCP iceland headquarters and threaten to catch a plane and invade their servers to fix it myself.

For those keeping score, I am an ANGRY panda.

WOW! Neon, that is crazy! Sounds like there are some bugs with the patch. Its strange that an individual account would be deleted like that.

Yay. I'm in a new corp  . Its a refreshing change from the "carebear" group I was with before. Its amazing though that I have to travel so much by podding myself. I have never actually flown out to the 0.0 outpost that I call home. I mean, I've been out there before in my ninja-survey boat, but not since I've joined the new corp.

You'd think that CCP would do something about pod-travel to make it more convenient (apart from the whole jump clones thing)... Whats the point of undocking and waiting for self-destruct countdowns? I say its a silly mechanic.

The Greater Goon is for those of you from SA who don't like the faceless, serious tone of GoonFleet! <3

And to the poster above me! Goonfleet dropped out of the Alliance! boooo, but I guess it's best for you guys to get more suited for the 0.0 space. I'm still in Ane kickin it guarding the area from Blackhole Legion.

.... as for amarr ships, I am slowly getting the urge to try other races too...

I'm Gallente but I think the Curse is a better recon than the Arazu/Lachesis.... but who knows... it'll take 2 months for either option...

I'm also starting to enjoy using remote sensor dampeners for solo PVP. Signal Suppression is the shiznit...

    duhhh

I agree about remote sensor dampeners.

It is remarkable how well a solo Celestis or T2 equivalent can perform in low sec using sensor damps and other shiny modules.

I tried it once... I think I got bored and went home because I couldn't find anyone to play with me.

So Valiant Logistics Incorporated/Black Flag Alliance just decided they don't like us very much (to whom we have very good positive standing) and have bubbled/camped our home station.

    And our alliance seems to think that's okay and will not help! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin-fix.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin-fix.gif" />

So, I hear the EVE developers are playing favourites with some of the corporations? Man, that's harsh.

I was reading about all kinds of scandal a few months ago... what with that one dev giving priceless BPOs to his corp, and lots of devs favoring one alliance over another... GMs selectively prosecuting some people and ignoring others breaking the same rules...

I had already stopped playing so it didn't mean much to me. I just found it fascinating.

Actually, those 'priceless' BPO's turned out to be a bit naff. I think one of them was for a t2 missile of some kind, which let me tell you, is far from priceless.

While yeah, it was a pretty big thing, it was dealt with and the bpos were removed. TBH I don't think the ccp employee was fired actually, which kind of ticks me off but maybe he does good work.

Other then that, I haven't encountered or heard many situations of GM favouritism. Of course there are rumours, especially surrounding BOB, but that's what happens. Look at Roswell or Moon Landing conspiracy theorists, they target the government because it's exactly that. A big government. CCP and BOB are EVE's equivalent. They are the targets of tinfoil-hattery.

Despite indiscretions, I know that CCP want the game to be fair and balanced and that they intend to keep it that way. They've also instituted an internal investigations department, so that should keep things on the up-and-up.

TBH the fact that only one incident has come to pass is a testament to CCP's integrity.

    Rant mode over.

    Initiate gloating protocol #02a-3

Our corporation commands a fleet of two Thanatos class Gallente Carriers now!
