They'd just blow our planet to hell and back. Remember what Tassadar was SUPPOSED to do?

lol yea, then they would get to Pennsylvania were everyone and their mother owns multiple firearms lol. Then the real human resistance would start. <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' /><!--endemo-->

Depends. Mar Sara was not the only human world, but rather an unimportant backwater that the confederacy didnt care about enough to even send in dropships to save the colonists a$$es.

But with Earth the Protoss are presented with a different can of worms. Protoss are not callous and would likely only orbitally bombard critically infested areas.

Since this topic still seems to be up for some more debating I'll bump it for some more excellent debating by both sides, I shall contribute my share in a few moments.

    (Off-Topic, no wonder why I couldn't find it -_-)

Remember there are two things you must know of the Zerg:

    1. They move swiftly and rarely stay in one place but place some reserves in the Clusters, specially since they make Clusters so constantly in conquered areas.

    2. Using chemical weapons and not killing millions of humans but making them affect the Zerg would be a problem if it affects both species, although if it affected the Zerg it would most likely tip the war to us, they can afford a lot more deaths in the long run then humans could.

So far: Chemical weapons and flame throwers to devastate the Zerg, hoping the Protoss would come (slim chance but its Sci-Fi after all), nuking every cluster to death and hope no drones survive to reproduce and repair their hives again.

    And again, excellent debating.

I'm pretty sure moving this to off-topic is what killed it. Not entirely sure why it happened, as it was a serious discussion, but meh.

What wed need to do is build a few command centers around each hive (eg: 2-3 cc's) So, if one cc is attacking well have a good enough defense to protect the bases. Of course, well also need good air support and youve lost me there lol. *feet splashing through mud as hellish gunfire erupts out of the earth* "BRAVO TEAM WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU?!" look, the way I see it, it's Navy to the rescue.

Especially the new stealth ships they're designing and building right now (no, I'm not joking)

Just target the clusters with satellites, then send a slew of guided missiles their way. There's minimal if any damage to other life. These missiles WILL damage the clusters significantly and probably kill them. We have more than enough weapons of this type. If that fails, we nuke the ones that are far from most human civilization and focus on bombarding the other ones with even more missiles.

We know the damage would be enough because we know that at least advanced bullets can somewhat damage the cluster.

Targetting should not be much of a problem because these things probably give off a different infrared image in most areas. In other areas, we can localize them by where the attacks are made.

We have the advantage because we have an in place defensive structure that can hit anywhere in the world in a couple days at most.

If the cluster bombing from afar doesn't work, we focus on anti-air defenses then send in the bombers.

In case the zerg threat is discovered in time:

Setup a defense perimeter around each cluster with Tanks (for the ultralisks), plenty of infantry to take out the smaller bugs and patriots to take out arial threats.
When a lockdown is created on a cluster, bombard it with artillery and napalm missiles.

    Zerg threat = end.

In case the zerg threat is not discovered in time... we get overrun.
The whole strategy to beating a zerg invasion is to contain them.

thing is... it'll take long enough to setup that containment when you could be bombing the heck out of them.

I remember seeing an air force poster... it went something like:

Air Dominance, because we don't want a fair fight

not that but something to that effect.

And that pretty much sums up modern war. You don't give them a chance, you take out what resources they have to fight. Communication destruction is a top priority, etc., etc.

We'd win. They may have numbers, but we've got caliber, and Rate Of Fire.

    Can you say Barret?

Can you say new distance records for taking out an enemy? (Those huge ultralisks stand no chance.)
