i personaly would not add any infestion to this room, it looks right, the rest of the map how ever is all grey, and looks boring

Hmm... personally I would add some infestation to it. Hives without infestation just don't seem right IMHO.
@Era Jorma: Very impressive (the size and grandeur) Hive. Needs infestation and a bit more detail, it's seeming a bit like a very big, open space that dwarfs the Hive.
@perso: First shot is pretty nice, I like how you've incorporated the dror texture into a wall texture design, the ceiling light strip and the right hand doors lights on the floor. Nice! Second is OK but can you push/pull some wall sections in/out to give it more definition, it looks a bit flat and monochrome. If you change the architecture you won't have to replace the textures.
Hmmm.. I've been thinking about the infestation, and I think I'll add only some on top of the hive. And I think I'm going to keep it simple.. The hallways are boring gray and all that, but who cares :S
The hallways bit of my post was aimed at perso, hence the '@perso' preceding it

ya that 2nd pic is asking for more boxes or something on the floor

nah nah, keep the floor the way it is, jsut darken the map a wee bit, only thing that needs work is the lighting, soooooooo go work on the lighting and show us more picatures!! Good job so far.
Grizzely: ... ..I dunno why i laughed but i did.........._
@BJ - I don't think anyon'e gonna hurt you for those pics, but try spicing up the floor a bit. The general architecture is nice and neat, which is good for areas that need a cleaner look (nearer to MS for example), just make sure that in other areas (near to Hives, any heavy industry or maintenance areas) you wack in some dirt and destruction

Greyhawk: Nice archeticture, the first screenshot is a bit simple and plain for my liking though. Harsher and more lighting please

Grey Hawk oo nice work. Specially like picture 2 nice architecture tho from what i see the rock face at the far back is flat but that could be because the pictures are slightly dark and i cant see much. I will have to agree with everyone tho lighten it up slightly. Good work keep it up i want to see more
Well, I finished my map about a week and a half ago, and Tyr had his run through, and I've almost finished up takeback_v2. Anyways, this here is my second attempt at "the middle hive." The first one wasn't all that great, and was far too big (and the same can be said about "the left hive" which is the last bit I've got to finish up for v2).
Oh, and here's my readyroom. I "found" someone's source on my harddrive. I couldn't find out who made it or how to contact the guy, so I hope he doesn't mind :O If anyone knows who made it originally, I would be happy to know!
I changed the textures so it would fit more with my map. haf.

Yep, it's pretty bland at the moment.

greyhawk, your screens are bit to dark, try adding some lightspots and so on to give it more contrast
