Hey,

Got this strange problem...
It's very nice weather outside clear sky, barely any wind nice sun etc.

So i want to open the window and play some ns <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo-->
The thing is, there's an Owl in the tree right next to my window and he doesn't shut the <!--emo&::lerk::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/lerk.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='lerk.gif' /><!--endemo--> up.

Now i want your help to give me ideas so i can scare him away. It pisses me off. I'm about to shoot the damn thing <!--emo&:angry:--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/mad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='mad.gif' /><!--endemo--> if he doesn't change his ways.

    Have you thought it might be trying to communicate? Something like "Get the fluff off of the forum and start playing you pansy!"... it probably just wants to see NS in action.

    If it still makes a noise its probably heckling you "I've seen dead rodents who can aim better than you" etc

    How about tinfoil? Some birds are frightened by the crinkly noise of a simple piece of tinfoil hanging in a tree, but it has to be large enough to make noise even in moderate weather conditions.

    A normal pen laser isn't enough to damage a human eye when only briefly shone in the eye(yes I am absolutely certain about this, <5mv is simply to little to do any appreciable damage during a fraction of a second, I have even tried on myself a bunch of times for fun(knowing it isn't dangerous)), it's about as bright as the sun but in all monochrome ~650 nm red, even fainter at a distance since pen lasers are pretty shoddy and the beam diverges quite quickly. I find laser pointers very effective at scaring most animals that annoy me, even insects but they are to stupid to take a hint. If you have one and you can try shining it in it's eye briefly and it <should> get startled. Most animals don't like being bothered repetedly and will leave you alone if you scare/annoy them enough.

    I would say ask for a shirtgun and shoot the lork on the clorf (Yes... just because you said no one did it.)

    Other then that.. use a water gun or a hose.. preferrably a really nice shot of water should distrub the owl. ;-)
