yeah, but we've already said it's pretty easy to get xp through the extractor, it's a solid way of preventing scientists from becoming too powerful too quickly. Since any human can get all the skillsets except zombie skills, the scientist has a strong, non-stochastic, method of obtaining xp, he can quickly obtain more skills and become not just a jack of all trades, but a master of all as well. The limitation placed on it is a good negative feedback mechanism.
edit: yes I'm currently getting a masters in game making, no I'm not joking.
edit2: a lot of times when a zombie attacked my human character they used hands not bite... this really doesn't make sense if you do the math. While you'll hit more often with hands, in the end you won't do as much damage over the same period, even with full upgrades on both: 100 attack attempts, 100 hand damage (50%), 120 bite damage (30%), just a tip to you zombies

I'm getting 50% chance to hit with hands now, thats pretty good.
... don't you get the same number of exp as you do damage? if I'm wrong correct me, otherwise, you level faster with bite.
edit: confirmed, you get 2 exp per hit with hands and 4 per hit with bite, you do more damage over the same period with bite, assuming the same upgrade level, and you therefore level faster with bite. You might feel you level faster because you hit more often, but you don't in reality.

yah, claws are ok, but only if you are trying to deal that last 2 dmg.
however in truth you actualy get the full 4 xp (+10 for the kill) even if they only have 2hp <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
I have a zombie above 100 xp, I'm debating between digestion and neck lurch. On one hand the digestion keeps me alive, on the other, I can get exp faster with neck lurch and then get digestion sooner anyway.
Someone answer this for me: when you die as a zombie, when you stand up again, do you lose your acquired skills? When I died as a human I didn't lose my unused exp but I lost my skills because I turned into a zombie, I don't know if I get them back if revived. If I do not lose my skills, I'll pick up neck lurch so I may get exp faster. My other zombie has digestion because at the time I picked up a level, I was at 5hp and didn't feel like testing it. Now both starting zombies are at 50hp.

I have 3 characters right now. Shzar is my Civilian cop, can't remember location right now. Mitch is my army medic, he's around the NW corner (TONS of zombies there). Mince is my zombie; he got a kill today! I'm having a hard time gaining XP with the medic; although he spawns with a pistol, he doesn't get basic firearm training. Say Hi if you see one of my guys, if you're lucky, maybe my medic will heal you.
when someone said the civie classes suck you were right!, I started a new character as a private (named raagh, say hi if you see me) and I'm already found like 6 pistol clips plus you get spare clips right off and I found a shotgun! (with one shot >_>).
Unfortunately, you waste most of your 50 AP and limited bullets missing, even with training. Anyone know what is the skill that comes after Basic Firearm Training? Maybe that would help a lot with aiming.
At any rate, it's always better to run away than to attempt to kill someone.
