it will filter ranked if I apply filter, but if I hit refresh or update server list, it just doesn't find any.

Best two minutes ever in Battlefield 2...
On the map where there's 3 uncapturable MEC bases (on 32-player), and the USMC have to defend like 5 flags...
Our base up at the front lines is going down, so I spawn one behind and rush up... I get into a small gunfight with another guy, get killed, when someone rushes to revive me, they do and die, I kill the guy, pick his kit up to find he also has a Medic kit with a higher level gun (my first time with it), and then I go to revive the other guy, rush into at least 5 MEC soldiers by myself, killing most of them... Again I die and am revived, only to have an Airstrike fall around me, I quickly run out only to find that I am killed by a tank... Who is then exploded with an anti-tank missile shortly after I am yet again revived... Then finally, I die to some people who come in blazing with a jeep and a turret mounted on it...

You know those guys who would cheat their stats on ranked servers by killing/rezzing/killing etc? Instead of just fixing the darn problem, EA opted to screw over honest players alltogether.
- Games only start after ~1/3rd the amount of players have joined (you need 10 people for a 32 man server). - Ticket ratio has been fixed to 100%. All games last like 10 minutes now.

1.02 is crap. I'm not sure what memory leak it was supposed to fix, but I do know it made a new one, related to the server browser. The reason why it can take so long to update or apply filters is connected to the fact that while trying to do these tasks the games memory usage can jump up to 2gb and above. GG EA.

In other places, I see a lot of complaints about Blackhawks being flying death machines. They can be, Ive used them as such. Medic flys the bird, as a Squad Leader, get a support in one of the minigunner positions, an engineer and an antitank in the open seats, maybe put a sniper and a Special forces in the other 2 seats, for commando missions. Medic heals everyone, protecting against stray bullets, and turns the BH into a flying spawn point. Engineer repairs the Heli in mid-flight. Minigunners mow down all infantry in sight. And the Antitank can put the hurt on any armored vehicles in the general vicinity. And if you need to, you can drop snipers/special forces to their general targets. BHs can seriously pwn infantry combat maps, like Mashtuur City.
Now I see a lot of complaints, from the people that get pwned by this flying monstrosity, and I discovered a counter of my own, that works beautifully if you can pull it off. Any class can do it, all it takes, is a single hand grenade. If you can get close enough to throw a grenade into the chopper, and you can lob it through the doors, bewm, you've just killed their entire blackhawk squad. And, in all likelyhood, the blackhawk stays intact. Thats right, you just stole yourself a blackhawk. Turn that pwnage around.
I liked this SS for some reason. I'm still on the demo, but I love this game. For the most part, the teamwork I find is amazing. Me and this guy would fly as a wing, and bomb the **** out of the coast, where MEC had secured every land point, and had LAV's and Tanks on the shore nailing any boat that gets near. If a fighter came after us, one of us would split off, and get behind the fighter tailing the other. That game sold me.
Uhm, since blackhawks are choppers, you can't really put a grenade in there unless you have a jetpack or something (or a CATAPULT!!! ZING!). And even when they have landed, the minigunners'll make sure you wont get in grenade lobbing range.
Personally, the best method I have found is to C4 the flag and blow it up when a hawk swoops down for the cap. Doesn't take away that transport choopers are horribly overpowered though. You shouldn't be able to repair a vehicle on the fly, that's just silly.

I've been playing as commander a lot lately and in most games I have a fun little side game that I play with the enemy commander. I try to blow up his artillery, UAV trailer, and Radar, he does the same. It makes being the commander a lot more fun. That and I use the radar sweep and find where he's hiding and artillery him. We each have a go he comes by and blows up my artillery, I fix it and go after his, back and forth. Anyone else do this?

Another thing, this thread is pretty populated and we still don't have a CAL BF2 team. I'd like to start one up, PM me and I'll get things going if we have enough people.
