Anyway...yeah. Anyone who bathes a cat deserves a medal. I have three, and have done it several times. Not fun.

What's the point of shaving your cat? To reduce the heat on them or something?

Nah, seriously, if you stroke a cat with shorter hair you are more likely to feel the hairtips, rather than only the "side" of the hair, which usually happens with longer haired cats because you will push down the hair with your hand when stroking it.

You know cats have built in cleaning equipment that makes bathing pretty much unnessicary? 10 baths is ALOT for a cat in one year. ALOT!
My cat has had one bath in his life (he rolled in some motor oil, it was pretty bad) and he is now 8 years old, yet he doesn't smell at all and is always perfectly clean. You don't need to bathe cats unless they get into something really sticky and gross or they get something on thier fur that would hurt them signifigantly were they to injest it.
