well i like to add i played the same way.Before i entered a room i standed at the door for 5minutes scanning for vents and stuff and if something scary happened i ran 3 rooms back.

    yeah, Doom 3 scares the crap outta me, I've owned it since september and I'm just barely into the point where you start fighting those fireball throwing bastages (I imagine most players could get where I am in half an hour or less).

    Doom 3? Scary? I am a total pansy when it comes to horror. I mean...seriously. Doom 3 still didn't do anything for me horror-wise. Felt like a Halloween haunted house ride.

    You mean that LOUD NOISES and SUDDEN BANGS aren't the epitome of horror?

    EDIT: I felt i should edit, this doesn't at all mean i think Doom 3 isn't good, i reall enjoyed it actually, but a horror game it is not.

    Where's the irish guys? I just see two blokes, one of whom is definitely from the northeast of England.

    Pretty dull clip, its up there with the two european people screaming at their monitor. At least in this one you allegedly see what he's reacting to.

    OH MY GOD ITS A SHADOW!!!!!!one111!!1eleven!.... Thats right, your gone you stup- OH MY GOD AGHHHH! So funny... I should bring DOOM3 on my grad trip and install it on a friends laptop... D3 in the dark with friends = funny when someone craps his pance...

    Edit: this makes me want to reinstall and play D3 in the dark with my friends over...

    DOOM 3 was pretty tense and suspenseful, and I suppose I could call it scary. I didn't like playing it with the lights off. It was scarier on my computer because of my low frame rate while playing the game. Sadly, the game got boring quite early in, and I never finished it.

    Same happened to me, the levels all seemed the same and there's only so many times a monster jumping out of a floor panel/vent/cupboard etc etc can be scary. Plus the whole "I must put my gun away to use my torch" thing annoyed me; irl anyone with half a brain would gaffa tape the torch to the end of the friggen gun.

    Oh god. This is great. Just because it's not faked, it's great. If it was fake It would be a world of suck, but this is just weird to watch. I feel sad for him though. I don't think they should have made him play if he has that kind of a reaction.

    I'm deathly scared of Doom3, and I havent even played it yet. Just when I'm watching this video (up to 2:35, paused), I took off one ear of my headphone and backed away from the screen slightly. I'd seriously be worse than that guy if you ever caught me on tape. I cant go through the Kings Island fear fest, let alone a game 10x worse than that.

    Half way through fear fest I buryed my head into my friends back. People cutting themselves.. and, well. Some stupid guy wouldnt get the hell out of our way, and he was all, err.. burnt, butchered, whatever. I grabbed onto him and moved him, mostly really dim in the dark. At the time I didnt really notice the condition, but when you're hands become sticky and you enter a room with a strobe light.. look down at them, blood covering them.. oh god. That was nearly it for me.

    The cutting? Yeah. That drove me.

    Does anyone know where the other videos are that are made by the same people?

    There was one vid that had a great scene in it but I cant find the other vids.

    DOOM 3 may not have been the most origional in terms of "scaryness" but Ill say it had a couple moments lol.

    and yea I remember one time when I was playing all alone in the dark and my friend snuck in behind me. I was all hunched over with my face a couple inches from the screen at one point b/c I was trying to look at something really far off down a dark hall when suddenly he grabbed the back of my chair and yanked it backwards.

    But when this "irish" guy started freaking out, it was contagious. Suddenly when he jumped I jumped too...

    You have guns... point them at the bad things and they go away!

    "Oh noes... a imp jumped at me through a doorway." Just another few points or armor to replace and a tick of health of a med station. all fixed.

    But i wish i could be that scared of a game. i mean the guy kept reassuring himself it was just a game and still could hardly stay in the seat.

    Doom 3 was actually fun for the first while, but, yeah, I didn't find it scary. I tried to. I'm such a pansy-**** with horror games I could barely play 2 hours into Silent Hill 2, let alone System Shock.
