The Skulk Killer 9000
My newest model is the Skulk Killer 9000, an LMG replacement. I'm hoping to get it in the game as a learning project. If anyone knows any Maya to HL program, let me know. It's 1782 polies, but I'm going to delete the screws and optimize later. I just wanted put them there for practice

I can't believe I'm considered a good modeller! I feel sort of special!
About the lines, I started with the edge of a sharpie box, but then I got lazy and freehanded it.
I might try that skull thingy, but I'll need to finish, texture, find a port from Maya to Milkshape, animate it, and put it in. BTW if any of you know Milkshape animating (and how to do hand) tutorials or a Maya to Milkshape port, pleeeeease tell me!
Okay, grip and clip done (Actually, I need to fatten the clip). I think I'm done for tonight. 2005 polies .

when lookin at this grip i cant really see where the 666 polys are going to... i mean..that grip could be done from a box .. for a modelling start i would suggest to use milkshape from the first place, and not some modeller for games with can handle higher polycounts. this way you would need no port, and the models would be "cleaner" done. i mean..mayas way to model tends very fast to waste polys. when you are new to modelling dont use max, maya, or whatever..thats not a very good way to start

yea... freehand, and here's just why you should use a ruler then copy over using nice little PSP.

Actually, I couldn't seperate the main part. There were some vertices that kept messing me up no matter what I did .
so work on the handle, then re-map it because it needs it. i'll look for some tutorials, if you tell me what you use to unwrap (you should use lithunwrap though btw)
What are you talking about? I think it's AARGGHH *Hits BAshh with a toaster*
I thoght that it looked wierd. I used Maya's planar mapping for it.
-Fuzzy
Okay, I'll do that too. *Tries to hit Fuzzy with a toaster but it's still firmly lodged in BAshh's head*
i.e moved the clip in front of the grip or move it back further, away from the grip. good work though, model and uvw map by yourself

I didn't get to work on it yesterday. I had a lot of math homework.
I quickly redid the clip and handle. It lowered the polies by a bit. 1927
