It's not like practically every game in the world <i>doesn't</i> get warezed upon release, or leaked at some point in its development. Why are people freaking out so much about Halo 2? Is it cause Microsoft shook its finger at the people that did it?

DISCLAIMER: I don't even have an Xbox.

Well maybe, bacon, because Halo 2 is a tad more anticipated and hyped then other games.

<i>"Lock up your sons, it's me - Thaddius Butchwink! (Will Self!) Things haven't been improving much, to be honest. "Confidence" sent me the lastest broadsheets to see if the buzz has died down in England regarding my so-called "deviant activities" involving the Self Parties. In a libellous article by the Daily Mail, I've been tarred as a "brain-wronged miscreant with ponderous, lecherous eyes, oh those eyes!" Nonsense farcical guf-faw-faw!

My job as a salesman hasn't lead to much success, either. Who am I kidding - it's been a catalogue of errors! A miscalculation at the printing department left me with ten thousand business cards, so I felt it necessary to distribute more than I had originally anticipated. In business this is called "Touching Base," I think. I quickly learnt that you can't just give them to people on the street, as they tend to drop them or rip them or hit you. My sneaky methods of getting my cards into the fingers of punters could also use improvement. For instance, at a local fast food empornium here in Milwaukee, I sat at a table with my Kids Happy Meal opposite an elderly gentleman I would later come to know as "The Prosecutor." After getting my paper out (DM headline: "BLAIR STEALS IRAQ AND PUTS IT IN A FLAN"), I distracted him by kicking him in the right shin and planting a card inside his sandwich, all this while he writhed in agony on the floor. After he'd regained his composure and sat back down, he asked me what I thought I was doing. I replied that I was trying to Touch his Base, I think, to which he replied by funting me right in the twonker. Worst still, he never even got to read my card after choking to death! Mega Cass!"</i>

Maybe to you, but I don't really care. I'll probably go to my friend's house and co-op the campaign with him though. That was pretty fun in Halo.

I was talking about it as a whole.

You're kidding yourself if you don't think around 750k preorders is not anticipation.

I think 750k preorders is a slight exaggeration, however.

Bleh, an article on HBO used that as a correction to another place claiming 1 mil.

Whatever it is, it's quite high

Heh. Guess what? Gamestop has over 1 million preorders, and that's just one of the major retailers in the US. Counting EB, Circuit City, hell even Wal-Mart is taking reserves on the thing, there's over 2 million preorders easily.
