According to the WHOLE Doom storyline, The doom guy goes THROUGH hell 3 times. (Final doom).
Then in doom 64, the doom guy stays in hell to make sure no demon ever rises again.
And the doom guy actually killed more cyberdemons in doom 2. He killed something like 5.
Black mesa has cruddy security, honestly, barney drinks too many beers, and the fatty one eats doughnuts.
Whereas UAC had actual teams of marines that were effectively killing demons in an organized fasion, untill they got ambushed.
UAC Also opened the gate to hell, and the doom guy closed it. The doom guy kicks ****, because in the end, hell felt more like home to him than earth. He chose to stay in hell and **** up the demons for all eternity.
Also, UAC is as huge a corperation as the rest of the pack. They have their own marine corps too, they can also nuke from space, (we can even do that today). The Doom guy just raped the demons before they can nuke anything.

Half-Life does. Play the Steam version. Its actually neat, because the music is unsettling, but everything on the train ride looks safe and normal. But the music just gives you the feeling that something has to go wrong.
But that feeling might come from the fact that everyone and their mother knows what happens in Half-Life.
Anyhow, if you looked at the datapads in Doom 3 you can see all their advancements in technology, like just kinda MAKING energy from raw substances, as well as O2 and fuel.
