Urm...you'll find later it DOES have a Ninja-Pirate-Ghost-scorpion. That spawns off the regular scorpions(this one is like frickin 10 feet tall and as big as a apartment!), that shoots vines at you from underground, charges, and other henious things.
...and I'm finding I was wrong. The story rocks. Supposedly I've come from a long line of heroes, as has my sister. No spoilers here, just saying that its not half bad from what I've seen...and Jack of Blades = kewl.
Among the gems of wisdom contained in this book are these: "It is generally considered ill-mannered to hit people", "Albion is a materialistic place; shower people with gifts and they'll love you for it" and "Performing good deeds will make everyone appreciate you much more".

Tad disappointing, but still fun in its own right. I was a little annoyed that the game suffered from "invisible barrier of doom" syndrome like many other RPG's, though.

In conclusion, do the Find Bandit Seeress quest and the Abandoned Road will be unlocked for you, UltimaGecko. You can't get into Bowerstone North until later in the game.
I just married a barmaid then rided her senseless! We're so in love! Just ignore the fact that beforehand (not "before hand") I was a 41 year old virgin..
Walking into the school in Bowerstone and watching the kids stand up and cheer you, then sneering at them until they cry is ace!
I wasn't expecting much, but it's definitely enjoyable. No game of the year or anything though. Love you, Burnout!

IMO Fable's main plot is way to short. I've already beaten it. The next goal I have set for myself is to kill everyone and then buy all their houses and rent them out I've already done that in Oakvale(ville?). I have also taken to heavy drinking. Being drunk is great. Your screen gets all blurry and you can't see a thing. It would of been WAY better if your char started to stagger and weave.
My guy is so evil looking with dark plate mail, the howl tattoo, and the wicked horns on his head(My eyes even glow red). Sadly, it's now harder to get laid because of this because everyone keeps running away from me. My brother, who is playing a good char walks into a bar and they all fall in love with him. I also have the impression that my wife hates me. Enflame is way overpowered when maxed. It does 500 dmg a cast AND knocks people to the ground so they can't hit you while you cast the next one. On the plus side, those escort quests were a lot eaiser as long as you didn't target the people you wanted to protect.
Has anyone actually ever died in Fable? Like, died and had no resurrection phials so you had to reload? It just seems like there's no way to do it unless you're really trying for it.

For PSX i wanted FFVII so i bought one, for PS2 i wanted FFX, so i got one, now i want Fable, i guess i'll need an xbox. Besides, they're cheap enough these days, and my parents are buying my one for my birthday in some 3 weeks.
As I wrote that first line, I thought of the number of AAA games on Xbox and suddenly it doesn't seem quite as effective.
Still, Panzer Dragoon Orta and Outrun 2 are better.

There's already a small amount of games i intend to play, also the fact that my PS2 now won't play DVDs as it skips like all hell, it has another use.
Also, this will complete my collection of consoles from this generation as i already have a PS2 and Gamecube.
Fable
Ninja Gaiden
KOTOR(If you don't already have it)
Halo is good, not the best game ever.

Fable and Ninja Gaiden are definately on my list. I already have KOTOR on PC and i dispise Halo entirely. Silent Hill 4 is one on my list to get (purely because over PS2 it has better graphics), Burnout 3 and Full Spectrum Warrior are there too.
