Every game made by Peter was loved by just about everyone, except for Black and White. Which I personally think is great. Clearly I'm in the minority though.

It borrows so many elements from the most open-ended-rpg of all time(so far), Morrowind? The ability to go anywhere you want? Do anything you want, when you want? And Fable is going to be MORE open ended, and allow you to do MORE than Morrowind ever dreamed of, with a easier interface?
Do you realize that its fighting system is almost exactly like Kingdom Hearts? One attack button, a button that provides shortcuts for magic, a targeting system that still allows you to hurt other people, and its very much so a Action RPG?
Have you looked at the concept art for the game? It seems to me that it is VERY anime-inspired, not to mention the character designs remind me of more anime's I've seen than I care to count on my 2 hands. As well as the cover art having basically the same sword design seen in EVERY anime-based game with a kid wielding a sword? Or maybe just the way the character's hair hangs off of their head, the dramatic poses, the rather large eyes(or the "not-there-because-I'm-squinting-all-the-time" eyes).
Yeah. Way to try and call me a idiot. Don't doubt something I said unless you can back it up. I don't just make assumptions. And man, why do people always choose me?
But yeah. I've been wondering lately also why people seem to think that- oh, God forbid let us make some money. I mean sure, I bet their not in it for the money, but uh...let me ask you, Creep_, do you think there are more XBoxes sold than PCs powerful enough to play a PC version of the game? I don't think so. In fact, I'd be willing to say one DWARFS the other. For God's sakes, he coulda tried this on Gamecube OR Playstation 2 and probably would make more money off of this game. I bet he just wanted to make a console game, and wanted the most power he could get. To me, the game sounds like a console game, and I'd almost be willing to bet it'll feel like a console game. Its battle system sounds like it'd translate HORRIBLY to PC, with the way games are now on consoles.
And...I liked B&W too. Great game. Concept art means nothing. Look at the in game art. example It looks like the same British style art every recent Pete game goes for. Let's play some Q and A.
Q: Fable is going to be MORE open ended, and allow you to do MORE than Morrowind ever dreamed of, with a easier interface? A: (quoted frome IGN) If you are expecting Morrowind, you are going to be disappointed. Though Fable is indeed a game about freedom and choice, it is not nearly as wide-open as Bethesda's mammoth RPG.
Q: Do you realize that its fighting system is almost exactly like Kingdom Hearts? One attack button A: It's also exactly like Monkey Ball's Monkey Fight: one attack button.
Q: a button that provides shortcuts for magic A: It's exactly like Zelda II: Adventure of Link, select button provides shortcuts for magic.
Q: a targeting system that still allows you to hurt other people A: (quoted from IGN) Combat isn't perfect, especially the targeting. The majority of fights take place with innocents watching and if you want to lock onto a target, you will sometimes accidentally lock onto a passing merchant.

Wow, you honestly sound like you've got no idea what your talking about. I mean, if it means nothing, why in the hell would they do it in the first case? To get a idea? Hell no, thats what imagination is for according you your opinion. Not to mention, just looking at that screenshot, many things in it are quite obviously something that many regular pieces of art has taken bits and pieces of from anime, mostly because anime-lite(much like rpg-lite in FPS') is popular right now.
And actually, after READING ALL OF IGN'S REVIEW, They speak that the WORLD isn't as open as Morrowind's. Its a much more intimate experience, in rather small areas, instead of the huge expanses Morrowind sometimes provides. But you can STILL go wherever the hell you want, whenever you want, do whatever you want, the such.
And I was likening it to Kingdom Hearts in the style of fighting- the controls are VERY similar, and even after watching a video of the fighting, I'd say it even LOOKs like its a very KH-Like affair.
And for that last argument, I don't exactly realize how your proving me wrong here. I said you gotta watch what your doing, and you supported it quite well. I myself have always liked things like that, to at least keep it away from being a stupid button masher.

Its battle system sounds like it'd translate HORRIBLY to PC, with the way games are now on consoles.
And...I liked B&W too. Great game. I wouldn't even play the main story- I'd just do skirmish after skirmish after skirmish, because it was so much fun to play with my creature

Concept art means nothing. Look at the in game art. example It looks like the same British style art every recent Pete game goes for. And if you're going to claim that a kid holding a sword MUST be inspired by anime, you have nothing to reference BUT anime. Gordon Freeman is anime inspired because I can't count high enough to count the number of anime characters I've seen with nerd classes.
One attack button
A: It's also exactly like Monkey Ball's Monkey Fight: one attack button.
Q: a button that provides shortcuts for magic
A: It's exactly like Zelda II: Adventure of Link, select button provides shortcuts for magic.
Q: a targeting system that still allows you to hurt other people
A: (quoted from IGN) Combat isn't perfect, especially the targeting. The majority of fights take place with innocents watching and if you want to lock onto a target, you will sometimes accidentally lock onto a passing merchant.

Concept Art means nothing?
Do you think Fable will satisfy players whose idea of the perfect RPG is Deus Ex or will I... I mean they, just stick to FF?
More like only good RPG for X-box.

Give Sudeki a shot. It's not a 'classic' RPG in any sense of the word (Since when do they have railguns?) but it's still a damn fun game.
I did.
