Fable is starting to remind me very strongly of Dungeon Siege, except with a story this time and no party. I find that comforting, because I liked Dungeon Siege.

Yea, but I can't stand this cheap imitation English "anime-style" crap. Leave that to the Japanese, I thought the Brits were supposed to have their own distinct style? I tried the Sudeki demo and puked because it sucked so much.
Keep in mind that I had just gone through level 5 on Halo and my standards were still racked up a lot.

You're right. The reason Peter developed for the XBox was the money. Black & White won't ahve been the financial success that Peter expected given the development time, and he needed the cash to keep Lionhead afloat. Developing for the XBox was a no brainer. First, M$ will have handed him a huge wodge of cash. For M$, getting Peter was a huge coup. Second, there doesn't appear to be a plethora of quality games for the XBox, so I suspect Peter will make a killing out of this due to the lack of competition. I doubt that flexibility and power were in Peter's mind when choosing the XBox.
Unfortunately, most games don't translate across platforms successfully. Kotor felt too consoley, as did FFVII. I suspect that, for example, Doom3 is not great on the XBox. Perhaps Peter thought it wasn't worth the effort to develop a cross-platform version.
The battle system feels like a console game because it was developed for a console.

The thing is, he still isn't making as much money as he could if it was on PC anyway. If it was on PC it'd make tons more, easily. With this I'd figure he put it there just so everyone can play it with no problems(and cheaper overall).
