    Well now.. that's what I get talking to my g/f while posting a reply... in the like, 10 min it took me to write that, there were around 10 new posts...

    *sighs*

    @ Nexus- Well, you have a small chance to try to redeem yourself... re-build the parts you decompiled YOURSELF... look at the decompiled parts and study them.. see how they were made, but then try to re-create it smoother without all the weirded brushes! I can understand why you decompile... it's tempting at times to take a chunck of kick **** architecture out of a pre-made map... but just remember... it's NOT worth it...

    If you have the ability to decopile, re-size, re-texture, and basicly re-build the 1 unit thick brushes, surely you can take some time to become skilled with making all that stuff yourself...

    nexus dude, if ur gonna decompile, dont just slap it into ur map, look at in VHE if u have to, understand it more, then try and recreate it for ur map.

    Its a shame coz ur map was looking really gud, in places that were blantently not decompiled.

    Keep at it, i kno alot of people dont like what ur doing but it'll be a shame if u left u are good u just give into ur temptations.

    The best thing to do is open up NS and take screenies of all the things u thing look good, then study them.

    Oh and delete WinBSP and BSP2MAP from ur computer =]

    In short dont leave, just keep at it, ur work wont be to the standard of most people here but thats coz most people here have been mapping for years. Just keep trying and u'll get better, take on comments and work to make things better dont just give up.

    decompiling is bad... but acceptable...

    It when you use what you decompiled in your map... that's unacceptable

    Wow. Another decompile. This is actually quite amazing. If you had two switches for a mouse to press, one for food and another for an electric shock, the mouse would learn after the 2nd or 3rd attempt not to press the shock switch. This is what, the 3rd or 4th decompile? Humans generally have a higher capacity for learning than common mice, but evidently that's not true in this particular case...

    Edit: Also, if you need to see how something was made, you STILL don't need to decompile. Just open up NS, and LOOK at it. If you still can't figure it out, turn on wireframe. Not that hard.

    Those two screenshots could be proof. Still what did he decompile there... thats whats bothering me, since I dont recognize any of it from eclipse or veil.

    He has already admitted, give it up. Nexus hasn't changed one bit, he is still a decompiler.

    Mods should lock this thread and should concider a bann maybe for nexus.
