Nexus, I want to believe that you're sincere this time. But myself and others here have heard this all before. You've betrayed our trust each time, and I for one just can't forgive you again. There is a finite limit to my tolerance, and you've used it all up. I'm sorry, but I doubt you'll ever be able to win back the trust of any of us.
Wow - I go off for the night, then I come back this morning and find a gazillion threads, all because our favourite decompiler has decompiled again. I'd better get my two cents in before the inevitable lockage.
Nexus, let me tell you about my mapping background. Four months ago, I knew absolutely nothing about NS mapping. Nothing. Then I got some crazy ideas about a Natural Selection map. "Too bad this will never get done", I thought. Then: "Hey! Why don't I get off my lazy arse and do it myself?" So, I started lurking around the forums, reading the Mapping Guidelines and all the tutorial threads that I could find. I then downloaded the tools, somehow managed to find ns2.wad (because I'm still running v2.01, but that's another story), and got to work. I read every tutorial that I could find (ChromeAngel's site and the 69th Vlatitude were my greatest sources of help). I taught myself how to use texture lighting.
The result of all of this is ns_adrianne (link in my sig). I'll be the first to admit that, at the moment, it's a pretty crappy map, but I am working on making it better. I don't care how long it takes or how many flames I get, I'm going to take all the constructive criticism to heart and keep working at it until it becomes a kick-**** map.
Now, if a total n00b such as myself can do this, WITHOUT DECOMPILING, you can do it too. All that it takes is some effort and the will to keep on going.

Are you going to make a "I'm leaving" post again to come back 10 minutes after everyone is celebrating with champagne?
I remember I was the first one to reply to your first thread with "isn't that veil's RR with badly misaligned textures?" in fact, in that same thread you said you left the forums too! Nothing has changed, eh?
I never thought anyone here would be forgive you so many times, I guess they haven't dealt with people like you before
Edit: sup coris, so we were flaming him without a reason, eh? <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo--> <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo--> <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo-->
Nem0 told you when you got caught for the 3rd time that he'd ban if you got caught again. So yeah, I'm waiting here for him to come in and ban you.
Don't go all "sorry", "I won't do it again" on me. You will. I know. You promised everytime. Everytime you promised in big red letters about how sad YOU was. Well you we're right.. you are sad. And those promises are empty.
It's been fun knowing you.
I reported this thread this morning, it's only a matter of time before that happens.
