Yep, and it's going like a whippet too. It bodes well for the HL2 roll-out.

i'm preloading now - it's pretty fast actually.

Newell has remained steadfast in getting HL2 finished, but the suits have been on him a great deal and may play their trump card soon, that is, not release HL2 unless Gabe starts on the X-Box game.<!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->

Was laughing my butt off at the SA forums when someone was trolling a thread trying to convince everyone HL2 was vaporware, man that was a good read.

Anyhow I'll be DL'ing this soon enough....

Cshank: it is 4 cds OR 1 dvd. Depending on which one you buy.

    Edit:
When it does activate so we can play it, we should set up an NS players CS:s server. It would be fun.

    8/16/2004 16:37 PST | Half-Life 2 | by nagash
It's being reported all over today that the .gcf file steam creates to hold all your game date has accidentally revealed secrets from Half-Life 2, including the surprise ending to it. As most may already know, .gcf files are not meant to be opened and viewed by the public, but it appears some users of the beta have.

The Half-Life 2 dialogue leak is officially unconfirmed. Valve did not respond to requests for comment as of press time, and has not made any announcements regarding the alleged leak. However, some reports say the dialogue-laden .gcf has been identified and will not be included with the CS: Source beta data offered to CS: Condition Zero owners.<!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->

    LOL, score another for valve

Actually I just re-read the quote and I think they are referring to the one that was given to the cyber cafes. Since it says it won't be included in the demo released to CS:z owners (which includes ATI certificates unless Im wrong).

Regardless, there's nothing of particular intrest in the .gcf.

The explosions are louder... That's about all I noticed.

And there's a lot of physics sounds.
