Thats odd, they reported a system almost exactly like that running at High Quality on(I think) 800 X 600 with fairly good framerates.

His computer is broken. I've played it (yes I'm a lucky bastard, no you cannot touch me), and I've had no slowdown at all (not sure about actual numbers because I don't know how to enable the console) at medium detail at 800x600 with a Radeon 9600 XT, Athlon XP 2600 and 512 megs of ram.

At first I was running at 1024x768, and I got around 20 fps, but I quickly bumped it down to 800x600 and the action has been completely fluid since.

i got the game and its amazing i also found scientists PDA in the game and he had a email saying he had gotten a free storage locker from martian buddy and me not able to find the code to the locker went to none other then

The locker contains 1 very very lovely 'goody'. Too bad said goody doesn't get any ammo for a while.

Also, is anyone else sick and tired of imps busting out of walls as I am now? Ok it was scary the first time, but the nth time just gets reeeeeeallly old. Get them crawling out of crap like the 2 headed bastards.
Christ I jumped back a mile when 2 of them came out of some overhanging vents on top of my HEAD >_<

I think you should wait till the Trites come in.

They look puny when alone, but really damn freaky in a group.

Infinitum, might that goody be the BFG9K? I read in the PC Gamer article that you have it for a while but you can't arm it for a long time.
