Doom 3 Already Out?

<div class="IPBDescription">It looks to be true!</div>Apparently some people have managed to get ahold of DOOM 3 already. Not warez, but the actual box, cd, case, and manual. As in, they legitly own DOOM 3. There are several pics of the Manual + CDs + jewel case going around to prove this.

Apparently a few Best Buys are even selling them already!

This is based on the new dates showing up in their computers. A few readers on the East Coast of the United States also confirmed the GameStop dates at their local stores.

However, a call to GameStop's online outlet 800 number this morning revealed that online ship dates are still showing up as Aug. 4.

Calls to Southern California Electronics Boutique stores revealed that they still show Aug. 4 as the target date in their computers. A couple of representatives at the EB games stores said that if other outlets start selling the game early and breaking the embargo, they will also as soon as they get the game in.

Too bad mine is being sent. Said its being shipped the 3rd- so I'll get it the 5th, definately. I think most of the people who got theirs early either
a: Work at a game store, so they just grab a copy
b: know sombody who works at a game store, to hook them up


I doubt any game places like bestbuy would put them out early, unless by accident.

Not to say of course this will stop me from checking bestbuy tommorrow...

I think you'll enjoy it much better if you waited to play it five years from now. Imagine the tumult of anticipation.

Yes, indeed Doom 3 is legitimately out. There are screenshots circulating already, and it looks damn good. Doom 3 at low quality looks awesome, unless you're looking at someones shirt.
