Add in carpace and focus and you are nearly invulnerable

most of the chamber upgrades are useful in different areas , it comes down to what type of strategy your team is using , its always good to use sens to stop early rushes creeping up on the early hive attackers with shotguns for instance , this can be very costly for the opposing team losing money on guns early in game. if your constantly on the attack playing aggresively with 2 early fades always good to chuck up some dcs, this gives the fades a chance to always pressure the marine base whilst gorges chuck up hive / res nods, movement chambers are used well for both these types of tactics i believe which i think gives your team the biggest variety of choices like i have explained in the past you can use stealth style silence attacks with the back up of adren fades healed by adren gorges of course, mcs are great to use in defensive and offensive modes.

Silence as a Fade is amazing. I took out an entire squad of Marines because I snuck up behind em once.

I Used to think a Silence Regen fade was invincible... then the rines built turrets and Phase gates and i couldn't ambush anymore. ever. Fades ALWAYS end up rushing into marine strongholds and need the speed boost of cerelity much more then the fun stealthy silence.

In combat, I do enjoy the leap-silence combo once in a while... but only in smaller games. Usually i do end up getting that carapice, then following it up with regen (regen with silence is so sweet).

Someone else said that too but If I remember right the asnwer was that there's no sound. I dont know what you huys hear :o
When silence is at 3 lvl there wont play any sound.

I prefer this tactic in co maps: Cara, Cele, Silence -> Fade, rege, focus = Unstoppable.

I'm a cel > car > focus > lerk > adren > silence > reg guy. I've had my fair share of HA kills, just because they weren't sure wth was ripping away at their armor. If you play this tech style smart, the marines will spend way more time freaking out about OMG TEH SILENCE L3RK!!!!111!!11! AHHH KILL KILL!!!!!!1! As opposed to bringing down the hive or trying to camp hive entrances.

By the way, this thread is talking about COMBAT, not CLASSIC <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo-->

Ahhh, the good ol' silence. It's so fun watching people yell "N0OBZZZ"!"!!!one!! You cloak1111" when it was really just silence from behind <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo-->

I hate those kids. Whose the bigger noob, the cloaker or the rine that gets killed by the cloaker? I think that the answer is obvious. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' /><!--endemo-->

Yeah, i think it's my VID card or something (**** built in one) but i see cloakers real easy, and don't have a problem at all with them <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif' /><!--endemo-->

people can hear a few things from a silenced skulk - the hit from a big fall (when they hit the ground), their team mates death fall (sounds like a bag of coins hitting the ground). Occasionally you can hear the marine half of the bite sound (the bite makes no noise, but the marine can grunt and you can hear flesh rip) but not walking anywhere.

cloaking is a different matter all together. I think they should make cloaking 100% so that those who play in "super bright" mode dont have an upper hand.

cloaking is fine. Yet I agree they need to shutup on the calling. They should adapt and thereby not die.

Funniest thing of thos OMG!!!11oneone Klo4k3r is that they have never heard word "scan" ) 80% those ppl will silence if you tell them get scan or say you have that funny kind of thing. Same goes with armor1 vs focus

I personaly like celerity, or leap first+second. Usualy leap first. why?
    1. With leap, and the abiltity to Bhop its like having celerity.
    2. by controling my momentum, after a leap, it still feels like celerity
    3. Its leap for gods sack, I can dodge in a second
    4. Circle Straffing in the air usuing leap.
    5. Because when I get celerity, im MOVING EVEN FASTER

Yeah, but for people not turning up the brightness, 100% cloaking would take away any chance of being able to spot the skulk. Cloaking would then proceed to be the most popular upgrade to ****.

Why not just counter silence by taking a good look at your mini-map <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif' /><!--endemo--> I've stopped countless ambushes from skulks just by taking a look at the mini-map. I mean its there for you to use... I dunno why most players don't use it... I'm talking bout NS games btw.
