Well i guess the post is mainly for those people that still use Won over Steam, just a warning to them to get steam up and running before they pull Won down and thier is a massive influx of new players.

Doesnt really bother me, i don't use WON anyway
It was fun using won, but Steam has got to the point when its better.
I like Steam and find it a much better system so woo!
Over the days of the great HLDM games with the oldest veteran players... gotta play with hordes of noobs now.

Riiight.
I'm happy about this, if only because WON needs to be shut down before Valve can commit to a HL2 release.

Wha? They use the same system: PowerPlay.

How?!? It always gives me some error about the client DLL...
And 2.01 works fine in steam... it was made to work on steam because WON was supposed to be dead ages ago, and NS needed to work on steam until 3.0 was out.

WON's console was invisible, silly. Seriously, some of these complaints are ridiculous.
Won were smooth integrated in the game and it only overlapped 10-40% (depending on resolution) and you could play while having, it's fruitless to argue steam's a better solution..

It IS a better solution.
Console doesn't bring up 10+ menus. Try one box to enter everything into, while also bringing up the main menu. Sure, you can't play with it up beyond simple things- but you couldn't in WON either, unless you were using a joystick.
Though, I do want to set a toggle for crouch...I hate having to hold it down.

-> Erhm, you could play with the console down in won..
Steam console gives you the main menu, with friends network, server listing and what not..

Yeah, if you didn't close them down when you were selecting the game. Ever notice all of those go up or down depending on which ones YOU start up?
And no, you could not play with it down in won. As soon as it scrolled down, any extra buttons you pressed registered as actual letters in the console, until you closed the console, whether fully or just halfway.
