29kb zip in about 15 different e-mails..
Yea, well, after several days without e-mail, I come today to check my e-mail and have all sorts of e-mails with 29kb zip's attached to them from various addresses. Some from places like PBF (planetbattlefield) that I visit frequently...
This leads me to beleive I have some sort of trojan on my system and am running NAV 2004 pro live update now, followed by a Full scan.
Also, the e-mails say they have been checked by Panda Antivirus... yea BS.
Anyway, watvh out for 29kb attachments from sites that you normally might trust... I'll tell ya if the scan found anything.

Unless its someone you know, and they tell you in the message what the attachment is, and why they're sending it...
That's my point, somehow it knows the sites I've been to... And I use Firefox... security my rear end...
Here's some smileys to brighten your day.
Yea, I would... But I have Norton AV 2004 Pro. I think it's a tad bit better that somthing I can get for free...
take ns for example.
Seriously, follow a few simple rules, and you should rarely get infected.
If you're using OE, then switch off the preview pane, read messages in plain text, set the more secure Internet Zone and don't open attachments.
If you're surfing using IE, then disable everything for general surfing and move sites you trust (this one for example) into a less secure zone.
And of course, use a firewall. Mine's ZoneAlarm
I occasionally run Housecall.
I occasionally use Ad-aware.
This is the setup I use. Most people will stare at me as if I've gone mad, but it works for me. In my many years of using PCs, I've only ever been infected by virii I think twice. One was from a webpage I set as a trusted site, and the other was Blaster, which somehow sneaked under my firewall. Housecall picked them up and booted them out. Both fairly harmless.
Eh? how long ago did you switch?
As for me, I don't worry about e-mail viruses at all. I do all my work under Linux
:edit: btw, NAV found nothing...
