Counting On You!
Hello chums, I'm feeling awfully down at the moment. I'm going to bed now, but when I return in the morning, I expect to find at least one post in this thread that'll reaffirm my faith in this big old life and make me love everyone again like I normally do. Tell a heartwarming story, play the banjo, whatever. No rude limericks. Make me smile, don't fail me now or I'll just cry and cry and cry!

[edit] Today while having a walk with forementioned girlfriend, we noticed this poor, fluffy little bird (apparently not being able to fly yet) chirping in the side of the pavement. It was really cute and so.. fluffy! Well, we decided to help the motherbird a bit and killed 2 mosquitoes and left them few feet away, along with this little earthworm on the ground. Hope they had a nice dinner (Disclaimer: Story is true, and we were careful not to go too close so there wouldn't be any trouble!)
the rails gleamed with the moon's purest light,
I thought of the sorrow of transcendence,
the pain and joy of one's descendants,
to walk downhill is far easier,
than uphill will ever be,
but the rewards of such a work always makes me queasier,
and will always be a mystery to me.
But as I walked-a new thought entered my head,
what accomplishments will I have once I am dead,
if I always take the road in which gravity assists,
instead of strolling down destiny's path star kissed,
forgive me mother I'll turn back around,
for you I will work a little harder,
this time I will do that upon which I frown,
cooking, laundry, dishes and even cleaning out the larder!

Haha! Behold my sleazebag-esque nature!

Fellow bird-helper; I salute you.
You've played to much NS when you:
Try to siege your sisters/brothers room.
Wont dare go to the zoo because your afraid that the rhino might devour you.
Start looking for RT steam holes in the neighbourhood.
Shout "STOP HUMPING THE ARMORY!" as soon as you get in some kind of a line.
Dont know why you dont have any hivesight.
It was late dident come up with any better... xd
</as heart warming as it gets for yoshi>
Go me, cute puppy!
Oh yeah, even though I don't know you and you aren't my friend....

when i stepped out of my car i walked a few cars down towards the doors, and saw something on a car that has made my day and every day since then. it was a simple bumper sticked. a palm tree. a sunset. and a fragment of a sentence. "no bad days." the rest of that day i payed more attention to the beauty around me. i noticed the trees. the people. the life. i realized, there are no bad days. only bad attitudes, and there are too many beautiful things around to have a bad attitude.
a few days later i found out that guy did not kill himself. i was forever grateful. i literally did a dance around my room. a few days later that girl came to my house and we watched tv. we seemed to be closer than ever. the next day i talked to her and she asked if she could come over to borrow something or other, i dont even remember. we had the most wonderful time. we started watching tv, but that changed fast. im sure you can conclude what we did, but if you dont let me say that she is a wonderful kisser. that went on every day until last monday, when she left town for a week. i cant wait till this saturday.
Somehow, I think this seems to hit the spot better, but that is just personal opinion...
With love.
THEH AH FOH LIGH! BBZBZBZZBBZBZBBZBZBBZBBBZB *THUMP*
Repeat.
Alexes? Alexia? Hopefully...
You're tearing **** down a carpool lane on some unknown freeway, going 80mph, and you're only at half throttle in 4th gear.
You, my friend, should go street riding (motorcycles). It is easily the most gratifying experience that you can achieve anytime you please.
I can't even begin to count how many times I've been on an onramp, starting out at a measly 25mph, with cars flying by. Only to watch the car that just passed me at the beginning of the ramp, get farther and farther in my rear view mirror as I pass his **** before I've even merged.
Being stuck behind a car, seeing an opening for passage, taking it, and being in front of the slowpoke in under 2 seconds.
/me wishes his motorcycle hadn't irrepairably broken down last year.
/me wishes he was done being a student and had a job so that he could fix it.

Nope, Alexandra.
Sucks to feel bad. I don't really have any other nonspecific pearls of wisdom at the moment. I'm not big on hearwarming stories in general, either. But here are a few nodes from Everything2 that are a good read:

Why I torched the crack house.

The principles of nuclear weapon safety and meeting girls are remarkably similar.

The Joint Chiefs of Staff.

The Pizza Chronicles.

There are others in there, of course. Some are very informative, some are opinionative, some are uplifting, some are depressing, some are random and some are complete garbage. If you dig far enough, you're sure to find something interesting.
i hope cwag gets that ( we always talk about it)

Come on now, I don't bloody well want to hear how you're all getting the girl and I'm not, that's hardly going to cheer me up now is it?
Honestly!
Rule: if you're going to post pictures of ladies, they all have to be Keira Knightley.
edit: john doe wins so far.
If that doesn't cheer you up, what will?
i love ya. :3
Actually, that should cheer you up. There are loads of beautiful, funny, friendly... just perfect women out there made even more perfect by the fact that they go for guys aren't anywhere near good enough
