First of all, don't get me wrong; I can't stand stereotypes. He may well be a nice guy, but I'm fairly distanced and foreign to this whole "cosplay" thing, knowing nothing of the context it's simply humourous when I see it.
I'm under no illusions that my opinions will fade into nothing, anyone on these forums who thinks otherwise is sadly mistaken, but you really can't compare visting a forum a few times a day, specifically for the Mapping section (of which I do have something to show for myself) and dipping into OT to see what's moving and shaking, to fabricating a costume of a fictional fantasy character as well as a 'weapon' just because he has way too much time to frit away.
Now, please give me the context that I'm missing out on. Fair play to the guy if he's going to a fancy dress party, or if his mate is making some sort of art project or film, but don't tell me he did it for his pleasure on his lonesome, because I will find that depressing.
well... you've covered most of my points, but even going to the worst extremes, it's his life and who are we to critise? =3 Remember, some people will think the same of making maps for games. The whole 'too much time' thing is merely a personal opinion thing so it's always wise to see both sides of the coin before taking the mickey ^^

Ok... since I have had a few takers with the whole Link thing. If you would post a picture of you in Link's outfit (real or not) I shall dress up like Zelda, for I do have a few Egyptian clothes lying around and not being used. :-)
