i think that it is important to dirive the meaning in the phraises before assigning one more improtance over the other.

look out for the onos:

"be aware that there may be large rino like creatures coming this direction"

look out for the oni:

"be aware that there may be large rino like creatures coming this direction, and i used one less key stroke to save time"

no mater what prhase you use in the end it meand one thing:

so oni is not only definitive plural, but you also save your keystroke. Still doens't cover up for the fact that Oni is a weird plural for a word derived from "oh no's"

Grammar people grammar!

I know many of you probably hated english in grade school, but the stuff really does matter.

In THIS context (ie. the two poll choices) Oni is the only correct answer. While Onos is also a plural form, it should only be used in conjunction with an absolute adjective (like 'four', or 'ten' as opposed to something ambiguous such as 'many' or 'some').
