I really think that half of the people voting are lying, and I'll jump on the bandwagon with this guy and second his challenge that the 'Oni' people come up with valid proof that they have been using this term in the past i.e. going to a server right now and trying to use the term 'Oni' and recording it does not count. With regard to the multiple versions of plural rhinoceros, just because there are more than one version does not mean that they are all the same. If you refer to my previous post about cases of plurality usage (specifically ambiguous vs. non-ambiguous), the same applies the the plurals of rhinoceros. Each one is used in a different situation. And i believe that one is specifically used in plural for the multiple TYPES of rhinoceros as a whole as mentioned early on in this thread and is rarely used except in documentaries on the Discovery Channel.

I personally like onos better. It adds power to the word. Oni sounds like the name of an anime hentai character...not that I'm knocking anime..or hentai..but like..you get it.
