The Slackers - Close My Eyes:
Labelled as "garage ska" their sound is second to none. With production values virtually non-existant, their ska and reggae sound comes across so perfectly. With a mix of jazz, ska, reggae and dub, The Slackers are just fantastic to listen to.
Hellcat Records - Give 'Em The Boot 2:
Sampler from the legendary punk label. With a price tag of ?5, that makes this cd worth it alone. Featuring artists like Rancid, Buju Banton, The Slackers, Hepcat, Nocturnal, Dropkick Murphys, The Gadjits and The Distillers, this is an old (Yeah, 1999), but essential purchase for fans of punk and ska.
Lolita Storm - Girls F**king S**t Up:
Trashy English noise / breakbeat with a mixture of punk guitars and a trio of female vocalists. Produced by Alex Empire, you kind of get an idea of the sound they have. My only annoyance is that the break samples are a bit low quality, but i still love this record.
btw esuna, I just went through my ns downloaded files the other day and I saw I downloaded some stuff you did: they're called Open Heart Open Arms, Reincarnation and Tumor
