I personally think that lerk should be just like 1.0x. Get rid of primal scream, its effect is not really worth it anymore since you need to almost constantly "attack" with it.
Focus was good with it going to all(?) attacks, but now its just plain terrible. For example, if I have lv3 focus that means I have a 60% delay and only a 30% bonus.
If I can get lets say 10 constant bites in 30 secs doing 800dmg. But with that 60% delay, I'll only beable to get 6 attacks out doing only doing 624 dmg. Why would anyone want that? (Timelimit is off, I'm just making an example.)

Being a coke head marine is alright with me.
Glad the hive went up. Glad focus went on a certain slot - I think that it will be more to an advantage because I don't bite randomly or run in circles - my attacks are v ery planned.

I wonder what they plan to do with the lerk. With lerk bite replacing spikes, the aliens won't have a ranged attack anymore, meaning that you can't sit in the vent and harrass the comm or rines as easily, especially if they reach heavy.
Don't think the 56k'ers and ISDN'ers will be best pleased with that.

Also as for umbrea, bite bite bite, they have to :
a) get close
b) hope that there arent any mariens nearby
c) umbra lasts 2 seconds, they will go thru adren liek theres no tommorow and not all bullets will be stopped.
Whats the difference here to , say a skulk or two being umbrad and biting?? 25 damge per hit thats what. I dont see how any rational lerk would expose themselves to that type of danger by losing 30+ res when a skulk that costs nothing can do a better job.
1: How long do they last?
2: Do they stack?
Ah well, I feel a bit nostalgic about spikes but on the other hand, thats not really what defined the lerk. The lerk was all about spores and umbra. Oh, and vents. And that really wont change.
Though I liked how a lerk could slowly tear down heavies if skulks distracted them. Ah well, you have to accept change.
And, of course, there is nothing saying that this is final. Rember the lowering of medpack cost?

Yea, but time is everything. With lv3 focus, you can only bite less than 2 times in the same amount of time that you can do 3 bites.
So, would you rather do 2 bites doing 208 dmg or 3 bites doing 240 dmg?
Sure, focus is good for 1 bite attacks, but the cons greatly outweigh the pros. If focus just lost its delay, or maybe only slowed your attacks down by 10% a level, or raised the damage you do more, then it would be perfect.
