I really would scoure the forums clean for titles, but the only time I get comp that doesn't block NS.org and such [like my work] access is when I go to my local library, and on a more random note, my father still refuses to put the memory back in the home computer

i bet im one of the few longest members without a custom title, although i wouldnt say i deserve one cause In the 2 years ive been a member i have less than 200 posts...

I know how you feel, however I don't have enough time to put in anything more than I do (which isn't often to earn a custom title), they aren't worth worrying about anyway, would be nice but life doesn't suddenly change.

Member titles are set only by admins/mods.
Mostly they don't even set their own (a few do).
The normal meathod of ending up with a title is doing something particularly stupid/silly (though a few are done for doing good things)
Examples:
Esuna made his 4000th post a post with the word 'post' writen 4K times.
His post count was set to -4000 and the title of 'rock bottom' was granted.

Mantrid got his (Lock Pick) From getting in AFTER the lock (I think it was Nem forgot to lock a thread after posting *locked*)

Coil has ch1b1z0|2 in part because he is the creator of the Chibi NS Chars that a few people have as their avatars (why it is in leet, I don't know)

Infinitum's one of Anime Encyclopedia comes from him being just that.

You can actualy go through this thread and find explenations for almost every title. (find Necrotic's <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif' />)

So yes, basicaly it is a collection of inside jokes/recognition for good deeds, and E-Wang.

Don't ask for a title, you won't get one. (and yes there have been a few exeptions, but just don't bother).
