To keep down on posts such as these:

<!--QuoteBegin--></span><table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1'><tr><td><b>QUOTE</b> </td></tr><tr><td id='QUOTE'><!--QuoteEBegin--> IT's quite a weird change on paper too, seeming those of us that always aim for the "hitbox area's" are probably going to be the only people that notice a difference, and it's going to be a negative one

    Ah well

It remains constant until the armor reaches zero. Heavy armor will absorb 95% of all damage whether you have 2 armor points or 200.<!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><span class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->
That property is unique to Heavy Armor. Not LA, JP, nor any alien's armor is like that. The less armor you have, the more damage that goes to health. But it's a very slight effect and then you have the big cut-off at 0 armor. That's what really matters. <!--QuoteEnd--> </td></tr></table><span class='postcolor'> <!--QuoteEEnd-->
Not true. Armor absorbtion stays the same. In all games that I've played actually. As long as you have any armor left you will get full absorbtion, in NS as well as CS and Quake.

aha! rewriting workarounds to buggy engine limitations for a revolutionary mod! reminds me of what we did a few years ago on the starseige tribes1 MMOPRG mod.

    bravo.

now please could you move the camera mount on the models up near the front of the newly hittable area, so i can kno when i am actually sticking out from around a corner =/

Corrected hitboxes... sound... fun <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo--> The grenade launcher will be an alien destroyer in the hands of a skilled marines... well, at least an onos destroyer. I mean, who cant hit the broad side of a barn with the GL?

gl is not such a big problem. hmg is far more destructive with a damage potential of 2500 per clip. 50 bullets per onos makes me shiver...

Onos will undoubtedly get an HP/AC boost. It wouldnt be fair without one, so I think it will end up taking a lot more than 50 bullets to kill an onos.

And hell, forget the HMG... 3 shotgun blasts will destroy an onos at 220 damage each shot. Thats like a second and a 1/2 of firing from one marine <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

Bottom line: I doubt you'll see onos with 5000 HP. An armor absorption benefit is much more likely. Yes, the onos and the fade will recieve compensation if deemed necessary.
