It's nice and colorful as opposed to most others while still keeping the NS feel. Time has come to show you the layout of map. Not outlined locations are under WIP.
From the minimap U can see, that I tryed to arrange rooms in logical progressiveness -> Engines are at the back, Bridge is in front, Docking bay is on left. Crew quarters and Canteen are in center of ship. Dunno how this affects gameplay (I'm afraid it affects radically <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/confused-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused-fix.gif' /><!--endemo--> ) but I'm near to complete my dream (this is third attempt). The layout came from my paper drawings made in school during the lessons of chemistry, biology and math <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/biggrin-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->.
Some backstory I've made, but is very vexatious, because my english is pitifull. If someone want to help me with it, I will send him current backstory and he can "embellish" it <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html//emoticons/smile-fix.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile-fix.gif' /><!--endemo-->
I wanted make more than all this, but HL engine don't allow me to do this. Currently I'm fighting with hl-bsp about every 1% of "leaves"
The map's comming along quite well - what I'm a bit worried about is the distance between the Cargo Hold hive to the other 2 hives - but that seems to be offset by the amount of starting RTs that the aliens have access to should they spawn there.
Also, are there going to be any more RTs in Fusion A, Reactor and AI core? Should the aliens start in Hyper Drive or Asteroid, they'd be at a disadvantage from a resource standpoint and the marines would have free reign over the cargo RTs (Which brings back memories of aliens starting in the Power Silo Hive when cargo had 3 RTs).

I suggest moving that RT on the top left of the map up a bit in to what appears to be the big square just beside the glass corridor, it will give the area more of a purpose. Ayumi has an area similar.

Glass Corridor doesn't give us something to remember. Try something like the Glass Arena, changing name of the area can give it so much meaning and impact. Okay arena does suck, but its an example of how differently an area can be viewed by the location name.
As far as the screenshots go simple is good, outside looking sexy, although the bluew lighting outside is a bit weird in my eyes, although it must be good, as I haven't experience space travel to know what it should be like. Unique design too. Keep going rendy, the marathon is almost done!

I'm really looking forward ot this map, it is beautiful, and looks to become an NS classic most loved map. Keep it up, and release a beta!
