Alright sod lending money. I am willing to give small loans for the buying of artifacts, however lending money for the purchases of fleets and starbases are a big no - no. I have come to the conclusion that if you or your (nearby) alliance as in people playing next to you can't bail you out. (IT is better for them to get a fleet and fight them off that way.) Then too bad too sad, you will have to get reset.

On another note: 1 down, 6 to go. It seems my enemies thought that by enlisting the aid of a few of their allies who were as weak as they are they could take me out. Not so of course, but very aggrivating none the less.

Do we really need a website too? I thought this monster topic (or another astrowars monster) would be enough to organize everything needed. And how about we organize signing in into three or four different days/times a day? So the majority of TSA players would be crowded to some galaxies and less people would miss the moment when someone says "It is Time!". This is forum after all and theres quite alot of forumites playing and all of them wont be on time to sign in. Not even one third. This is one of those moments I hope there would be separate internet-time.
Hardest way to announce date and time for signing up: Post up direct date/time in GSM or EET or something else which everyone has to figure out themself into own time region. Simple way: Someone makes nifty counter which which goes to zero and everrryone joins up. Then it starts counting negative minutes (to show how long game has been on now) and propably has another time set for joining up on the same moment.
The only real problem here is that we dont have exact times. "Game will end in around a week" and everyone is spread out throughout the world and it might be evening now in New York while I just woke up and am writing this in work practice. So at least two separate times so everyone has even chance to join without waking up at 0500 inna morning. Those hours have to be exact if we wish to get everyone near each other.
And then the TSA... It wont work if we put 50 replies with 20 lines of <span style='color:red'>PUT TSA_ INFRONT OF YOUR NAME</span>. The clock itself (TSA_counter <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->) which I suggested, might just as well read "...minutes before youre gonna sign in as TSA_..." And by now I think all interested from this topic will know better to sign up with real name.
There was yet another thing to say... Ah, yes. How bout we make some rules to apply our astrowars clan? There sure is gonna be people who simply ask "Whats the use to sign up as TSA? Sure I get nifty clan tag infront of my name and people will ph44r me and most likely want to boost own ego by crushing me hopelessly." Im thinking of three rules: 1. No attacking against other TSA fellas (theres gonna be quite alot of us) 2. We keep some funny 500-5000a$ in case someone really needs it. There just has to be some rules how this 'need' is realized. And this fund is a gift, or a tax for being part of Something Bigger and help comes always asap when needed. This could also lead into some person holding all those helping funds (but this would cost around 50% of the money transferred so its no good) 3. Umm, havent worked out this yet. You cant help others in battle by giving out couple battleships or attacking the same planet. But something similar, like simply attacking into coordinates where The Overpowered Enemy is coming. So if TSA guy still dies under enemy fire, we still get the sweet revenge (hopefully) when other TSA marines destroy, kill and rape every single planet in enemy system.

someone could just make a new forum [i.e outside of NS forums hehe, on a personal host] where ppl sign up. There are essentially threads like this where everyone puts in their username etc and a few select mods update it every so often [to keep it easy for them, after they update the names, they delete all the posts]
and then stickied threads with info etc, and current things
and mass emails for things that require support
basically instead of cramming everything into one thread like we do here, we have more space to talk. i.e a clan forum <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo-->
and we can just have a few basic pages with a clock [i.e to coordinate sign up times], and mass emails to everyone about important things.

Thanks for the offer but I'm more than capable of dealing with them myself. They're trying to assault me with destroyers and cruisers. Only one of them has bothered to use a battleship. Their rivers will run red with blood soon enough.
Ahhh, the forum. Thats more I like it. First thing that hit me was quite-much-useless-page-which-announces-that-we-are-astrowars-clan but that separate forum might work. We still do use this topic to simply tell stories for youngster from cruel enemies and bloody wars in star systems?

And how about we organize signing in into three or four different days/times a day? So the majority of TSA players would be crowded to some galaxies and less people would miss the moment when someone says "It is Time!". This is forum after all and theres quite alot of forumites playing and all of them wont be on time to sign in. Not even one third.
This is one of those moments I hope there would be separate internet-time.
Hardest way to announce date and time for signing up: Post up direct date/time in GSM or EET or something else which everyone has to figure out themself into own time region.
Simple way: Someone makes nifty counter which which goes to zero and everrryone joins up. Then it starts counting negative minutes (to show how long game has been on now) and propably has another time set for joining up on the same moment.
The only real problem here is that we dont have exact times. "Game will end in around a week" and everyone is spread out throughout the world and it might be evening now in New York while I just woke up and am writing this in work practice. So at least two separate times so everyone has even chance to join without waking up at 0500 inna morning. Those hours have to be exact if we wish to get everyone near each other.
And then the TSA... It wont work if we put 50 replies with 20 lines of <span style='color:red'>PUT TSA_ INFRONT OF YOUR NAME</span>. The clock itself (TSA_counter <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->) which I suggested, might just as well read "...minutes before youre gonna sign in as TSA_..." And by now I think all interested from this topic will know better to sign up with real name.

Ah, yes. How bout we make some rules to apply our astrowars clan? There sure is gonna be people who simply ask "Whats the use to sign up as TSA? Sure I get nifty clan tag infront of my name and people will ph44r me and most likely want to boost own ego by crushing me hopelessly."
Im thinking of three rules:
1. No attacking against other TSA fellas (theres gonna be quite alot of us)
2. We keep some funny 500-5000a$ in case someone really needs it. There just has to be some rules how this 'need' is realized. And this fund is a gift, or a tax for being part of Something Bigger and help comes always asap when needed. This could also lead into some person holding all those helping funds (but this would cost around 50% of the money transferred so its no good)
3. Umm, havent worked out this yet. You cant help others in battle by giving out couple battleships or attacking the same planet. But something similar, like simply attacking into coordinates where The Overpowered Enemy is coming. So if TSA guy still dies under enemy fire, we still get the sweet revenge (hopefully) when other TSA marines destroy, kill and rape every single planet in enemy system.

someone could just make a new forum [i.e outside of NS forums hehe, on a personal host] where ppl sign up. There are essentially threads like this where everyone puts in their username etc and a few select mods update it every so often [to keep it easy for them, after they update the names, they delete all the posts]
and then stickied threads with info etc, and current things
and mass emails for things that require support
basically instead of cramming everything into one thread like we do here, we have more space to talk. i.e a clan forum <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo-->
and we can just have a few basic pages with a clock [i.e to coordinate sign up times], and mass emails to everyone about important things.

Thanks for the offer but I'm more than capable of dealing with them myself. They're trying to assault me with destroyers and cruisers. Only one of them has bothered to use a battleship. Their rivers will run red with blood soon enough.

As a side note: Yesterday I launched my fleet and spoiled his breakfast by taking two out of three planets. Now hes been idle for 6 hours and I cant wait to see him watching as 10 transporters more come raiding his main planet with the help of fleet ten times bigger he could afford.
