I played this for awhile when it first came out. I always loved playing as a stealth bomber and trying to take out bases with my signature as low as possible(meaning deactivated shields among other things). Aside from moments in NS these were some of few gaming moments that really got my heart pumping.

My email is sent and I can't wait to play this thing with broadband instead of sucky 56k.

Edit: Since I still have it, should I just update the retail version or go ahead and dl from scratch?

Fyi, buying Allegiance doesn't seem to get you anything but the music. If you want to play Allegiance, you have to download it, as Microsoft's servers are no longer running.

I can't wait to finally play this game.

Silencer just make a post where you post your new e-mail saying that this is your e-mail and you are a member of these forums, then link him to the thread in the e-mail you send.

you can run the game from the CD however you have to patch it (the patch is on the same page as the full DL)


you also need a switch program (makes the auto update look at a diff server)

if you poke around on his webbie you will see all of this, as well as finding the newb guide (always a GOOD THING TO READ ,hint hint)

Lol Silencer me and you are in the same boat. I can destroy two scouts on the "kill the attack wave" mission then I get owned. My problem is I'm used to earth-based non freespace fighters, so usually I end up doing loops trying to find the enemy.

I strongly suggest reading/printing out the guide at the top of the Newbie Zone forum over on AHQ, then the Newbie Tips section at docs.alleg.net.

Neither will make you good at dogfighting instantly, but you'll have a much better idea of what's going on.
