    it looks very nice though.

    *sigh* i just can't seem to recreate the splendor of that steamy hive from before. this room, i just totally revamped it last night. it was AWEFUL before. i mean really really bad. thank goodness i only showed it to one person and he forgot it completely. i still think it looks horrible, but it's better than before. i just need more input..... help <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif' /><!--endemo-->

    Belg, it all looks great apart from the grate texture, just doesn't suit it at all, in fact I think this is the "room-ruiner" you talk about. Change it to a grate with a more suitable colour or a solid floor... or even a half-solid, half-grate floor!

    The grate texture is fine. The problem lyes in your lighting I think. Just feels a little plain.

    Gonna have to disagree there; the light, see-through red just doesn't fit with the environment. It looks tacky.

    Style test after playing around with NS2.wad, and the colorizer, effects, and bevel tools in Photoshop.

    Not sure if I'll stick with the yellow but I was just playing around a bit. I liked both the grey and yellgrey texture sets but the yellgrey were starting to make my eyes hurt <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /><!--endemo-->. Wanted something a bit grittyer but still had some color in it.

    BTW, the text are func_illusionary for the readyroom. Feel free to comment on it too.

    Edit: Fixed an error in the image :-)

    Mmm. very nice disco. variations of official textures are fun to look at. though i would experiment with red if i were you... yes. red. blood red....i'm finished.

    anyhoo.. i retexed the floor. in fact tequila very much so was correct. it feels far better than it did before. the ambient/generic feeling is still there, but it's a good ambient/generic feeling this time. ^_^ thanks for the idea.

    i'm still deciding if it's good to keep the light spots in though. with them it makes for some more contrast, but it looses some of it's eariness.... i doubt that's spelled correctly

    First Experiment with red. Real quick version.

    Edit: Right now I'm just kinda expirementing with colors and styles, when I decide on one, I will go back and do some touch ups to make them look a bit better.

    When using the Bevel options use Color Dodge and Color Burn for the effects rather than Screen and Multiply, you get a more crisper look to the highlights and shadows that way.
