Its really easy to change the animation speed. I will cut the snapout shorter. the trabnnsparent view of a not build hive is the first frame of the birth animation, wich looks great.

Oh hell, I wish I could animate better. My idea was this: the head carapace ofcourse causes the strings to bend, but if the strings were stuck at a certain length, then have the string pull up that entire side of the hive (when the head pushes it) at a angle a bit. Very hard to implement, I know. But definately a fine realistic detail.

Well guys I asked around, and if you use WALLY. You can edit the WAD files of the hive creep. this in turn will work on all default maps and any that do not contain custom textures for the creep. I have started working on these textures by desaturating the color out, and lowering their brightness and upping their contrast. I have added preliminary background Giger like patterns and I will be adding larger GIGER like ALIEN art to these textures as long as they seem up well and don;t look stupid. this way we can also have the Queens supports blackened.
I am getting my modeler to make the EGG to replace the gestate. If anyone has already done this please let meknow so i can save him the work.

I was torn from wanting to create the Queen as the ONOS with all new animations or as the hive I think we could have both - afterall Ripley did get her to seperate from teh egg sac and start wreaking havoc so i think it woudl be cool as ONOS also - but i don't know. me thinks a giant skinned RHino is more a product of foot and mouth disease crossed with MAD COW moreso than an Alien concept.
