Trying to build the NER platform didn't work

So I tried to craft the neptune platform using the mobile vehicle bay, but clicking the icon only resulted in the MVP taking the materials and doing nothing else. Am I doing something wrong? I have cured myself and shut down the QEP.

Used console commands to give me the materials back, same thing. Also tried spawning with the debug spawn command multiple times, didn't work. It only quickly flashed above my head and instantly disappeared. My save is an experimental pre-1.0 save.

You have to go find the schematics in the Aurora, or it won't work.

You have to switch to Stable, then look at the build number on that (@GoldenApples says it's 59783) and change the "changeset" value in the save's gameinfo.json to match the Stable build number you're on, then it will load your newer save into the older Stable build fine, and you should be able to build the rocket. NO IDEA why they haven't pushed a rocket update to experimental, but it might be a bug with experimental or something, not sure.

Of course it doesn't work without the blueprints. Literally nothing you can craft in this game does. But as I said, the MVP had the NERLP in the menu and took the materials. I fetched the blueprints ages ago (Do you really think I'd go all the trouble needed to switch off the QEP without exploring the Aurora?)

    I'll try this out ASAP

Edit: OK, this worked, thanks. Hope they fix experimental soon.

    HMMMM..
I'm having a similar issue but have only ever used stable builds, never the beta.
I am using a save which has gone through several pre-1.0 updates however.
Tried the steps here just incase it would work for me too.. but in my .json file the build number was the same as the post 1.0 build (59783)

The neptune platform doesn't build, click the button and finally, FINALLY, nothing happens.

Eh, Experimental is now fixed and you can build the NER on Experimental.

Your problem is likely another bug: if you bump the Mobile Vehicle Bay while it's floating to the surface, it can break permanently. The only fix (until this gets patched) is creating a new Mobile Vehicle Bay.

Okay, will retry in experimental. I already launched it in stable. Have the final achievements been fixed yet?

This will be fixed in a future patch (is already fixed in the Experimental Steam beta).
