Time to get this thread back on track.

Right now, the SAHP is winning this election, (because lack of representatives leaves the EPCA useless) but the SAHP has lost representation as well. The DC and N-LAP have been near silent, the GCSC has been day-dreaming, and the FMMA have been taking over the Eastern Dunes and the Mountain Island.

But we of the UCR have remained firm and steadfast in our beliefs that we can make a better ocean than it has ever been. Vote for the UCR, we'll change everything but our morals.

This is not Earth. This is Planet 4546B. Your interference in our politics is dangerous.

As a side not, I apologise for my absence. I have been on holiday in New Zealand, and Internet access is very tightly controlled where I'm staying.

For the record, I do not know why only a few Warpers followed my lead. My command was Priority Alpha. If my own agents would not follow a direct command from myself, then that means someone has reprogrammed them behind my back. I will very disappointed in you, phantomfinch, if I find out that you were the one who reprogrammed them. Don't come to us when the Carar outbreak becomes severe.

Anyways. I send my condolences to the late President; A tragic waste of our leadership, and a consequence of that silly civil war.

I appreciate the N-LAP for providing sanctuary within the lost river base, but I understand that our conflicting views on technology will negatively impact further cooperation.

I'm stationing agents at the Lost river base and the precursor Gun in case any further conflict is to occur, so that they may be placed under lockdown.

@Casual_Player, While we thank you for your kindness in the Aurora cleanup, as precursor constructs we hold full ownership of the precursor array. We kindly wish for you to ensure your security measurements do not target any agents attempting maintenance of the facility.

Enderguy in your absence; I have rebuilt the precursor fleet, start production on a new generation of warpers and have saved my species from enslavement. I testify your authority in command of the precursor remnants as I see myself as a greater commander than YOU general .

'Agent 488-9223 here. I'm here on orders from Agent 343-2401, commanding agent of the Lava Castle. We request that you refrain from causing any sort of war at this time.'

@Casual_Player, While we thank you for your kindness in the Aurora cleanup, as precursor constructs we hold full ownership of the precursor array. We kindly wish for you to ensure your security measurements do not target any agents attempting maintenance of the facility.

Hello. I am Aurora, the current leader of the Foreign Migration Minorities Advocates, FMMA.

Concerning the Precursor Array, as far as I understand, it's current ownership belongs to me. It happened during a brutal conflict between the GSCS and the FMMA. I will glady turn over the ownership of the weapon to you once the situation concerning the Carar is resolved, and I am assured the weapon shall not be used outside it's primary purpose, this use being made by you or anyone who manages to get the weapon from your hands. Unfortunately, the talks about the ownership are going to be on hold, resuming once my expedition to the last Precursor bases are done, and this whole problem is resolved for good.

About the maintenance, any and all technicians sent shall be well received. The requirements for this are:
    - A list with the name of each agent designed for maintenance must be send on advance.
    - the technicians will be escorted at all times during the entrance, maintenance operations, and exit from the Precursor Array. Any suspicious activity by any one of the agents of this maintenance team shall result on arrest of the involved agent(s) by the FMMA, plus the temporary custody of the remaining team on FMMA bases, until the investigation regarding this actions ends. You shall be communicated about each steps ofthe investigations, and we will accept any help from you if that means ending it faster without complications or errors.
    - Agents which suspicions actions were validated as such by the investigators shall respond to the FMMA as terrorists.
    - The only occasions my troops will attack anything or anyone is if such individuals show intention on taking possession of the site, makes research about my forces at the site, and related suspicious behaviour, including detonating or firing the weapon.
    - If a group approaches the base without malicious intent, but the FMMA didn't receive any request for boarding the weapon together with a list of the identification of the personnel, this team will be asked to leave. If such a group tries to force their way in, they shall be put on custody of the FMMA, until a certified representative of your arrives to return them to their homes.

All of our actions are recorded without interruptions, and the recordings may be available to inspection pending request of investigations, or authorised by me.

Please understand. The misuse of Precursor technology already lead to the loss of someone very dear to the FMMA, the late Captain James Anderson. Precursor technology used by the GSCS. I am not going to commit the mistake of handing over such equipment to anyone else untill I'm assured it will not be used on such fashion again.

Also, during the conflict between the FMMA and the GSCS, we took hold of some Warper agents previously loyal to the Shoal. I would like to start talks with you about their returning to you. I don't know where their loyalties will lie when they are returned and without my nanobots.

    Thank you for your time

This is a messenge for all the members the Council.

I declare start on my expedition. I am leaving Liternaut HAL here with the main armies of the FMMA. Now, I, together with the expedition forces shall descend into the Inactive Lava Zone, with the objective of finding the cure of the Carar. Additionally, we will be on the lookout of the "Emperor" entity referenced on the downloaded Precursor files.

    Expediton Journal Log 1

The expedition is currently inside the ILZ. Contact with outside forces is good.

Contact with one of the foward units is lost. Recordings of fallen unit shows it being attacked by unknown lifeform. More units sent to the area.

While I consider this occurence being worth of investigation, the main objective of our expedition is the Carar, not contacting and discovering new lifeforms. If this short investigation on this lifeform turns to uncover something greater, it shall be put on hold untill our primary objective is concluded, and the cure is available for mass fabrication.

    Expedition Journal Log 2

The scout probes finished mapping the surrounding area. 75% of them return, some damaged. As for the lost ones, these probes aren't build to last very long, and the naturally hostile enviroment of the ILZ probably have destroyed them.

The team sent to the fallen PRAWN sent their report.

    - The units suffered a catastrophic system failure, caused by forced disconnection of the power source from the rest of the unit. Negative readings of radiation or local enviromental contamination by components of the Power Cell suggests it to be separated entirelly from the unit without being damaged on the process.
    - There are three types of damage detected on the unit. Two of them located near the Power Cell slot being lacerations vertical and thin. Four lacerations of other type on the legs, being one horizontal and two diagonal, they are thicker than the ones on the top of the unit. The last type of damage is two curvilinear lines on the right arm of the unit, being composed of equidistant incisions with various degrees of thickness, but this appears to be the same on pairs of incisions opposed to each other, but on the same curvilinear line.
    - Unidentified substance present on the claw of the left arm of the unit. Analisys couldn't be done for lack of equipment and prepared location to be conducted.
    - No bodies of any lifeform were detected on the vicinity. Position of the fallen unit associated with geological formations of the local area suggest accident suffered by the unit.
    - Report ends. Team returning to the main force of the expedition.

I have one unit destroyed by something. Maybe it wasn't a lifeform but damage taken from the location the unit was. Some of the geological formations here have the capacity to make such damage.

    We will continue forward.

    Aurora.

I lost 5 more units since the first one. All to the same, geological formations, and with the same kinds of damage, lacerations or incisions. This is ridiculous. Trained personnel, and they end up destroyed by rocks and heat? Seriously? This equipment can take a lot of punishment, and they die because they fell?

Hm, This will be addressed at a later date. For now, we continue our descend.

    Additional notes:
There is a strange, biological-like patch of dirt covering the walls and the ground on some tunnels. We cannot ascertain a pattern here on this patch, but if I may guess, it leads to tunnels and chambers going on other sections further down the region, not on the main path.

Hehe, main path on a cavern system. If we needed clues about the Precursors operating on this planet, then we just found them.

    Expedition Journal Log 4

We started using probes and cameras for scouting operations. More units dead, again with the same circunstances.

One of the probes arrived at a tunnel, and the operator reported the following.

-Biological patch cover the entirely ofthe surface of this tunnel.
-The ambient's sensor readings are...strange. Somehow, it seems that this underwater tunnel has more umidity and less (I can't believe I'm saying this on a official report) "ventilation".
-There are structures here reminiscing of...stalker eggs. But these are broken. Wait... the eggs shows signs on Carar infection. I don't believe anyone have seen such a thing before.
-The probe will continue to investigate.

In the meantime, the expedition continues. From our surveillance, it seens we are aproaching a large cavern.

    Aurora.

    The Reef Conglomerate's Downfall

Greetings. This is General Blue of the Conglomerate's 4th Division. It is with great regret that I inform you all of our defeat in the Lost River. An attack was held against us at the Lava entrance, and many casualties were sustained, military or otherwise.

We were able to push against the floods of Lava fish and Larvae and Lizards, but the Dragon we could not so easily vanquish. Our grip on the Lost River has been unhinged, and our citizens have been ordered to flee to other biomes. We request for the Republic of Koosh to accept refugees, as well as the Shoal and their biomes.

You may be wondering why the Prime Minister is not delivering this news. As of this morning, Prime Minister Jamezorg reached critical condition due to the Carar bacterium, and he is being held in the Grand Reef, where the disease has killed almost everyone in the biome.

We have control of the Grand Reef, but our number and influence isn't very strong. We have lost control of the Blood Kelp entirely, and are loosing the Sparse Reef to infection.

    The Conglomerate has fallen.

General, us in the shoal shal offer you the temporary housing of your entire species as a form of preservation of the planet. OUR warpers will acomidate all your needs and save your species from exstinction. There is one problem, with the gun being owned by the FMMA and their reluctantly to give it up, it cannot be disabled. As a result your salvation will end up raining down metal from above. What we ask in return is using your EMP abilitys to temporarily disable the guns and its protectors, in respturn your civilians shal be saved, a new generation of genetically modified biter soldiers shal reinforced your army and we will rightfully control our greatest asset. We only ask for your cooperation, remember the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few.

Regular food and other supply's would also de orbited in the reef and you will have full access to GCSC controlled lands in the future. We only ask for your devotion to our cause. If you do not agree to our terms, we will ask of a single crabsquid egg, from there it's stem cells will be harvested and crabsquid clones will be produced to resuply your population. Either you get the red army or the clone army.

Expedition Journal Log 5 - Burst transmission

This is the first of two reports made by the camera operator.

-Detected intact cluster of what appear to be stalker eggs. Biological biofilm is adhered to all of the tunnel's surface, as well as some parts of the cluster. Wait...
-A creature emerged from the egg. Most of the skin is brown, with a pair of yellow eyes and foward limbs end on a single, thick claw.
-Folowing creature, arrived at cavern with more creatures, many appearing asleep, around a hanging structure, organic by the looks of it. It's sustentation is being made by what look like tendrils hooked on the tunnels's top surface. The main "body" of the structure, has a glowing yellow orb, and at the botton the structure ends in what looks like a...ovipositor? There are eggs being laid by the structure.
    *camera destroyed.

    Second report
-Large force of creatures leaving the area. Sea Dragon and larvas detected in the midst of the force.
-Force size is beyond the fighting capacity of the Expedition. Recommend to stay out of the army's way untill it passes.

    +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

We managed to hide safely. The expedition is now entering the chamber. Looks like there's a structure resembling a castle there, and-

    ROOOOOOOOOOOOOOAARR

The creatures are attacking our backs. Troops, form defense perimeter and start-

    AMBUSH!!!!!

    The Conglomerate has fallen.

General Blue, it's an honour to talk with a fellow warrior. I'm sorry about your loses, I'm truly am. I don't know how this will help, but, please, hear my words:

When Aurora ordered me and asked for your assistant in surrounding the entrances of the ILZ, it was because she suspected something was wrong there. And, truly, from this attack, we can say that something is not right. But, General, what would it be if you weren't here with me, guarding the location? My troops, which also took casulties, would be unable to contain that army by ourselves. And then what would happen to the denizens of the planet?

Every one who died here can say they died with pride, for their sacrifice allowed us victory over something terrible. They will be honored forever once this is all over. It's always sad when such loss of life occurs, but those who died here, be they N-LAP, FMMA, or other factions, died preventing the escape from a powerful foe.

General, the FMMA has developed a way to halt the progression of the Carar infection. You already know this, but, what is recent is this new method has a greatly higher chance of sucess when compared to the other. The Prime Minister may be very well alive by the time Aurora bring back the cure, as well as anyone afflicted by the infection and by radiation.

General, please consider this: The FMMA trusted the N-LAP with the control over a very dangerous weapon, a weapon that effectivelly keeps holding a gun against the head of a dangerous individual. The Computer has the power to be the ultimate solution on this case. Now, which solution it will be, if a peaceful or bloody one, is up to the N-LAP.

Please, the FMMA asks for the same trust from the N-LAP. We have conditions to treat large number of individuals, including from Carar infection and radiation sickness. This is without a charge, to anything and anyone. As leader Aurora says, our primary directive is the elimination of the Carar, and offering help free of charge is a way to accomplish this. So, General, let us help you. The FMMA is well aware about your distrust of technology, but on this case, this technology can be safely used to help your people.

According to Chief Engineer Adam, there's no more radiation leaving the carcass, which means his repair efforts were sucesfull

Now, we ask you to keep your forces away from the Precursor Array. The weapon is currently deactivated, not to be used on the future. The other individual offering help to you WILL use the weapon. He shown he has no qualms about doing anything on his power to achieve whatever he wants, as demonstraded when he orchestrated the New Aurora Incident, which killed Captain James Anderson, and released radiation on the water. The same individual was willing only to dimish the leak just to it affect factions opposed to him. We ask you, General. See how this individual acted, and you will see he can't be trusted.

    Kind regards

    Liternaut HAL

    Officer of the FMMA.

The same individual was willing only to dimish the leak just to it affect factions opposed to him. We ask you, General. See how this individual acted, and you will see he can't be trusted.

    Kind regards

    Liternaut HAL

    Officer of the FMMA.

These words were pulled from the dying Prime Minister's mouth, through the pain of the infection.

James Anderson was a good man. You droids, however...

He came to our world, he meddled in matters that were not his to meddle in, he created machines that have taken over entire territories of this ocean and now these machines are running for presidency over this world. James Anderson was many things, but when I look over at what he has done one thing he wasn't was trustworthy.

He trusted me with the modified virus, and when he died I sent it to the Republic of Koosh, which I feel was a good choice. They have held onto it very well. Now I will order for it to be destroyed. Again he was a good man, but look at what his legacy turned out to be.

We won't accept any of your offers, you machines. We have spent years fighting you, and now you run for presidency over us all, as foreigners. Shame on you robots, and may Anderson's soul rest in peace.

Your territories span miles, Shoal, and it would be an honour to house my people in these expanses. You understand, however, that our EMP blasts are somewhat temporary? We shall disable the gun, but we cannot say for how long.

The machines inside that wreched thing, however, must be put to rest. Anderson was trying to do good, but I feel these robots have set his vision off course in a violent betrayal of his craft. The machines must be punished for setting a good man's actions down a sour road. Many nations are not to be trusted, Shoal, and you in our eyes are definitely one of them. You are, however, the nation I trust most not to betray what remains of the Conglomerate, apart from the Republic but they have other matters to see to.

These machines aren't even a nation, nor are they even from this world. They must be stopped before they mistakenly end us all.
Do you know how hard of a decision it was to betray the FMMA? Like, IRL?! Sorry @Casual_Player , but our whole thing's kind of machines are bad, so it just made more sense to roll with the Shoal.

    General, I understand. Really.

Be advised, however. GSCS tried to EMP us before. It didn't work. As for now, we are way more advanced today than we were that day. And you know we will defend ourselves. And no, we will keep our word - the gun will not be used. By us, anyway.

Just remember this: when the N-LAP ends up being slaves and cannon fodder to the Shoal, don't expect us to rescue you. You will end up dead by the weapon we deactivate, killed by the ones you are now becoming allies. Despite the anger on her actions, Aurora dealt a massive blow against an enemy who already sent everyone here on a massive war on the past. And now you are seeking refugee with this same enemie.

Remember my words when you become cannon fodder to the psychopath who will try to dominate all and everything. But, as a final act of consideration, on the next war orchestraded by the Shoal (which, believe me, he will do his damnest to make a reality), the FMMA troops will ensure to kill crabsquids quick and painless.

    Liternaut HAL
@Jamezorg No hard feelings. Roleplaying is a bitch sometimes. Things like this happen. I also didn't expect the N-LAP to remain allies to the FMMA after the operation transcendence. And, I believe it was Aurora who send you the computer, not James (he was already dead at the time). As a side note, I sincerely don't know why I'm on the election. Really. I roleplayed since the beginning, and James did the research on the Precursor Gun. James died, and I created another character that, despite becoming the leader of a faction, never have shown any interest on the election, only the Carar. Like, wtf man? How am I running for presidency without running for presidency? And yes, it is more plausible for the N-LAP to not ally themselves with the FMMA. I guess shit happens.

Good choice general blue. Operation blackout will commence as soon as possible, with the AI occupied with the dragon, few defensive forces will be stationed at the gun, their sensors should read you as friendly until the EMP. As soon as the gun is out of commission landing party's will be launched and all civilians will be evacuated.

I feel the pain of betraying OF of your ally's but you may have just saved your species. The infected will have to be quarantined in a seperate holding tank however, if they are lucky and they so chose to our genetic modifications could improve their immune system and combat the carar, like a warper.

    WEEKLY UPDATE

Well, I'm sure no one saw this coming. Over the past week, a huge territory dispute has flared up between the FMMA and the GCSC. Nothing short of insanity has ensued from the actions of both parties. Anything from nanobots to earth-shaking explosions were involved, and all told the rivalry spanned too long, and took too many lives, to be explained shortly. To make a long story short, the Aurora has exploded, the FMMA now has PRAWN suits trying to clean up the wreckage, and all biters may or may not have nanobots installed inside their brains. Fortunatly, this conflict has ended, though both parties have not reconciled with each other. "Aurora day" is hereby established on december 31st to commemorate the lives lost on both sides.

In separate news, the ECPA has polled well above anyone's expectations, pulling in a huge portion of the vote. Riding on the "Hope and Peace" slogan of the grand reef campaign, they have started re-running some old campaign posters.
    j7cqsmr9a8ut.jpg

Additionally, the mesmers have raked in a surprising handful of the vote... reports of glazed eyes and mesmer hypnosis persuasion screens at the ballot boxes have yet to be confirmed.

Lastly, now marks the 1-week mark until the election ends. Parties of all stripes are urging their supporters to get out and vote!

    What Remains of the Reef

The Reef is dead. The waters are murky, the wildlife is dying, and the reef no longer is filled to the brim with life. It is all either dead or has moved away to better places. Thanks to the many Conglomerate fish that thrived in this region, the Carar has learned to thrive in these waters. It is where the bacterium is strongest, and what is left of the Conglomerate have sanctioned both the Grand Reef and Sparse Reef as quarantine zones. The Blood Kelp was destroyed in Biter attacks just after the war.

The Island is sinking. It tilts sideways into the water like a sinking ship. The Floaters beneath it, holding it above the water, are dying of the infection. This disease has ended us, as have attacks from the Empire and Shoal rebels.

Parts of the Conglomerate have joined the Shoal, others have joined the NVP, others have found a home in the Republic of Koosh, but many have sadly found themselves in the hands of the Lava Empire, working either as slaves or as willing generals and diplomats in their force.

That's right, I'm sending you all on an ARG of my own. Have fun with that, my friends. I have no doubts you'll be able to work it out ;)
