Mobile Vehicle Bay Not Working

KigekoKigeko Chicago Join Date: 2016-03-26 Member: 214872Members
After this latest update, I find that when I click to start up my Mobile Vehicle Bay after getting on it, clicking on the display screen clicks me out of the game. I have a functioning mouse reticle instead of the in game reticle. Unsure if this is a separate cause or a bug others are running into?

Thanks!

    That's okay. I mean this thing: <img src="http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/428195787325915610/B6D032DAEF788A50E12337B9E104156FA66DD5BD/?interpolation=lanczos-none&output-format=jpeg&output-quality=95&fit=inside|1024:576&composite-to=*,*|1024:576&background-color=black">

It's very frustrating because I've since found the Seamoth blueprints and I cannot make one, which is handicapping a good portion of my game. I haven't tried to make a second one yet to see if it's just a glitch, but I just wanted to see if anyone else was having this issue.

Oh I understand! I know that this device very 'sensitive' to use... For use it you must place it in one of "hot key" slots (1-5), then press a key (1-5) to take it in your hands, press mouse button to release it from your hands and device float up on water surface. Then you must income to it from ladder side and try to climb on it by swiming forward to ladder direction. When you 'jump' on it you can see a 2 type of messages "take..." and "use..." - appearing this messages depend on to which direction you see - down - "take...", on panel - "use..." - if you push mouse when appear message "take..." you just grab it in your hands (after you can release it again), "use..." you can grant access to sub-menu of construction vehiclecles. You must collect and create all necessary components to construct each vehicles. When You've got problems with using this device (possibility to wrong working may display as 4 constructing bots park in wrong positions- below or under parking slots - 4 orange floaters) then you must just save and reload game. If you want further assistance - just say.

Indeed, we know this is a bit of a pain to use properly. We'll get this working better before 1.0

Unfortunately I can create and deploy it just fine, it's when it comes to utilizing the mobile vehicle bay window to create, say, the Seamoth, that when clicking the menu my mouse jumps out of the game. Instead of the player reticle I get the white mouse arrow. I guess I have to wait for a fix, which sadly nerfs my game for some time as it limits what I can currently explore. :(

@Kigeko are you playing on a PC or Mac, or in VR?

Can you also give us your system specs and logs, like in this guide: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=403087864

    Thanks!

Same thing happened to me (on PC). I don't remember the exact situation but I do know that a little before deploying the MBV I clicked out of the game window somehow (don't think I had it in my inventory and might not have even crafter it yet). Then when deployed every time I tried to activate it the game acted like I clicked out. Restarting didn't fix the issue, and the same thing happened with new MBVs I crafted after that point. MBV worked fine in a new game.

Never mind, turns out I'm just an idiot. If you haven't found enough fragments to actually build anything then you don't get a build menu for the MBV and it looks like it clicked out of the game. I thought I had found enough fragments for a Seamoth the first time, but I must have been short. Although if you don't have the blueprints to build anything you might want to add something that indicates that.

I'm on xbox one and I have the seamoth unlocked but when I enter the MVB nothing comes up and I'm stuck. So I have to LB/RB/A and type exit to get out, but I just want to make a seamoth. This is a real problem and is keeping me from progressing, I hope you guys can make a fix to this since its a common issue. Thanks!

I also just lost all of my blueprints and things that I scanned, again I'm on Xbox One. Idk how you plan to restore my research but I hope it gets fixed. My gamertag is Dom1nati0n.

I decided to start a new save in experimental .. Got to the point of creating the mobile vehicle bay, created it, went out to deploy it and I deployed. It floated to the top and only thing I can do with it is pick it up. It doesn't fully deploy. Stay's folded up and my only option is to pick it up.

Did you equip it, then deploy it, or did you drop it from your PDA inventory?

Awesome, thanks.. I didn't equip it and simply dropped it from inventory. So tried that and it worked. Thanks!
