I STILL haven't had a good commander. Granted, if the teams are even, I usually go kharaa rather then marine, but I've still played a few dozen marine games... I think I've been on a winning marine team a total of 3 or 4 times..
I should probably try commanding myself sometime, as I was a Starcraft/Warcraft II junky for a long time...
Now WHY has Flatline[UTD] not been mentioned? He's awesome. I've only played with him once and it made an impression on me. He's gotta be a top-tier commander.

Thanks for posting these people and making the gametiger links. Although I am one of the people that believes these early versions of NS need a lot of development, I'm always looking for new innovative comm strats. I'm down to be commanded by anyone that I can learn something new from.

I've commanded squads and been complimented on how I was doing, and then got raped horribly. Why? My marines don't respond to commands.
Sit in base, "HA and GL plz comm." "Move to waypoint soldier." "HA and GL plz comm." "Resource nodes under attack get over there and defend." "HA AND GL THEN!" "WE HAVE 9 rp BECAUSE EVERY SINGLE PUMPING STATION OUTSIDE BASE HAS BEEN DESTROYED!" "Why didn;t you give me GL and HA then, I would've saved them." "Considering you're in the base, I think not."
So yea, commander only as good as his marines make him. Especially when they don't respond to waypoints..... or build orders.... or calls for defense becuz the turret factory is down..... and then yell at you because you didn't give them the big gun they wanted when they're in base....
but I do have to compliment commanders that give me med packs when I call for one, the first time. So for those of you out there, ty. For the others, who don't give me medpacks when I call for one 8 times in a row.... space bar is a good key.
i don't rate myself as a good commander at all, so i'm glad that i'm not in this list. i let resources run REALLY low, and certainly don't protect all the res twrs. i tend to do a blitzkrieg on a hive early on, with the barest of kit. if it wins, great! if not ... "omg, [Elrond] sux!! he wont give me hmg!!111"
as far as i'm concerned, nobody gets ha or hmg until i have full upgrades on weapons and armor, unless we have onos all over us like a bad rash.

He was an excellent commander. Knows most of the maps well.
