I know that buy buying on steam you don't get the beta, but on the webpage it's $10 more and it still says instant beta access? So if we buy on the webpage do we still get it?

I'd like to be able to get the upgrade to Deluxe Edition as a CD key rather than an automatic upgrade. Can any Devs comment on whether or not this is possible?
MASSIVE thanks to the Unknown Worlds team, I only per-ordered yesterday so I could get access to beta, wake up this morning to find I get free copy and an upgrade! I am absolutely blown away! Cheers guys, best of luck in the lead up to release.

You can only buy the game through Steam now and will not get instant Beta access, this is reserved for the pre-Steam preorders. You will get access when the game goes live on Steam.

Since 2003, I've been such a close fan to you folks at UWE. From countless nights of me staying up late, meeting people through this game which is exactly your motif, I couldn't ask for anything better. I've followed so closely to the development of NS2, that I feel like I'm part of your family. Starting from that first instance of the procedural infestation, to the audio blogs, the first video blogs showing off the lighting, the ARC(formally known as the MASC) etc, the screenshot reveals with the trailer, and that treacherous 2009 Fall reveal date ( I have always forgiven you <3), to the engine test/alpha/beta, NS2HD joining UWE, all the publicity that this game is getting now, and Max hugging paper mache gorges, I can't say that I have been on a better journey.
Charlie, Max, Cory, Brian(s), Dushan, Hugh.
You guys know how to deliver. The way you have shaped us as a community is just incredible. You have proved so many people wrong by setting a release date, by having the game on Steam offcially to purchase, and continuing to make so much effort to keep doing what it is that you and all of us love, which is developing an incredible game.
I am looking forward to October like most of us here are. It is so generous to be giving all of us who pre-ordered a free copy of the game to give to our friends. I would have never expected that. I'm looking forward to seeing the art book, listening to the soundtrack, and of course playing the hell out of your game at v 1.0, and of course future builds to come.
I would like to also thank the rest of the people who have worked on NS2. Some that come to mind, Simon, Marc, Matt, and all of those who I am missing, huge thank you! Your efforts in shaping this game to what it is now is generous and I'm sure everyone can agree with that.
