1.) Late game when there are a lot of entities out, I drop to like 18 fps in combat. I can barely keep track of the marine.
2.) Fade's blink and shadow step may be super fast, but his walking speed seems to be slower than a marine (every other alien is faster). The consequence of this is that into melee range with a marine, and he backs up a couple feet and shoots me. I can't reach him with swipe, I can't catch up to him without blink or shadow step, and if I do either of those I frequently overshoot and have to spin around and find him again. The problem is exacerbated by my poor frame rate. Anyone else have this problem when playing fade, or have recommendations for how to handle it?<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd--> It's why I can occasionally kill 'bad' fades with weapons 1/2 and a rifle... for some reason a Fade might be intent on trying to kill me whilst I just jump and move back or strafe a bit. Kind-of sucked on past-builds because you couldn't really strafe Fades (it was like the Bastions had a 140* hit-range or their model wasn't directed where they were actually aiming.) Really wouldn't like the Fade to have the speed of a Skulk or even Gorge since some Fade-players seem to have a bit of momentum after blinking where they can toss themselves at a marine and hit'em.
As to the shotgun and this build; I'm scared to see the devs think this build was a success. Sure marines and aliens are a tad balanced, but the marines are still missing a number of upgrades, weapons, and 'classes' where the aliens are mainly missing a few structure-upgrades. Marines are already capable of pushing out late-game if they have <strike>conserved</strike> Res. It's possible that the dev-team compensated for the lack of marine-stuff, but aliens seem to be at a large disadvantage if they can't kill off the marines by mid-game.

Fade having skulk walking speed would be crazy OP, but enough to match a marine would be nice. I'm pretty sure they're currently slower. That or maybe just a bit more range on the swipe, or something. I'd be interested to hear what the pro fades have to say about how to deal with this.

I wouldn't worry that much. They know percent wins isn't the end-all. From another thread:
<!--quoteo(post=0:date=:name=Cory)--><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Cory)</div><div class='quotemain'><!--quotec-->Geeze guys, no one is implying the game is balanced and that there are no problems. The tweet simply shows the recorded stat numbers from 210 have brought the win/loss ratio more in line, and it seems like a step in the right direction. Of course there are all sorts of reasons for those numbers and we are working on getting much more specific information recorded per game, to make better sense of the win numbers.
