I finally threw some money at you guys, ordered a few special editions. Utterly neglect every other aspect of your lives so that we might amuse ourselves with your game. :P

I'm starting to get antsy here, seeing some pretty impressive work done in the editor already makes me feel nostalgic.

Anyone else have this problem? I'd like to help max track it down if we can.<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->

I don't get a crash but I do get a weird fast stroboscope effect caused by the spotlight.
If I move away it goes into it's normal lighting but if I move to close .... .
    Anyone alse having this?

Hello! I'm french so sorry for my english.
So the Editor is really easy to use but i have a lot of problem with the wall, the floor, etc...
I Follow the tutorial and at any times the wall doesn't appear. It's the same problem for the floor :s So i can't put texture when there are no wall who appear.
I don't know if the problem is me.
I have a lot of crash when windows says "Windows must stop editor.exe".

Just a suggestion do you guys think you could include a skulk model along with the player model so we know how big to make vents?

Since this is an "early" release of a pre-alpha, I guess it isn't meant exactly for making full maps yet. The editor itself is likely to receive a lot of updates as NS2 develops further. So I'd assume sooner or later we will start seeing other models or at least placeholders showing up allowing us to more accurately create maps.

Great job Unknownworlds releasing the mapping tools. Even though we can't really make full maps with it yet, there is plenty we can learn from the editor, and it will allow mappers to slowly pick up ideas and designs for maps they'd want to create as you release updates for the editor. I can't wait to see what sort of maps people will come up with.

Yeah I'm new to mapping, and don't plan on doing any big projects. I would like to create some breath taking images though. Hopefully I can learn this program well, because so far I'm having some difficulty... Maybe more tutorials would be nice? :)

Arg. Slowly wrestling with this editor.

Face/line/vertex selection is the real annoyance (and the fact the line tool crashes if you try to use it like the clip tool in Hammer and then hit undo).

Any other Hammer vets having trouble getting to grips with Spark?

At first yes but I'm starting to really get used to it and knowing little things and techniques to get around to what i want to do.

Yeah, my first room was a cylinder, which I tried making hallways go out from. That was fairly painful. Especially the one with a vent above it, spent so much time on that... ultimately I was better off deleting it.
Might redo it now that I've got plans for the ventilation system.
